Chapter 35

You had a lot of work at hand today as the day of the column you had undertaken was going to be published in the magazine for the first time, and that fact was occupying your mind more than anything, making you forget all about the unpleasant conversation you had with Seon yesterday. 

A conversation that ended abruptly as Jungkook had returned to the office and she then had to leave to get back to her work, but even though the conversation was short, you got to know well that your behaviour was irritating to your friend.

But you didn't care much if she was irritated, after all, she had caused you much more than simple irritation. That's why you had decided to give her a small jumpscare, now that the day was almost over and you had found time to take a short break, before continuing the work for another two hours, when your shift would come to an end.

---Change of set---

Seon had just come out of the bathroom, having taken a shower and relaxing her mind under the nice feeling of the hot water.

She approached the couch and sat down, glancing at her cell phone to see the time, wondering how much longer would it take for Jungkook to get back home.

But as soon as she picked up the phone, a notification appeared on her screen, catching her unprepared since it was a text message from you.

She decided to open it after she gave it a moment of thought, for her curiosity had proved to be more strong than her fear of what you could have possibly texted her. 

"I don't know if you noticed any red marks on your husband's neck...This is just the beginning."

Seon's eyes opened wide while she read those words, her mind struggling to process them briefly but once she did, a wave of anger rose inside her.  

She really didn't have you capable of reaching such a point but apparently, she was wrong about that. For you seemed to be angry enough to step over your own lines just to get to her. able to reach such a point but it seems he was wrong. 

But what bothered Seon was that you were doing it on purpose while she had hurt you unintentionally and was involved in a story that would honestly do anything to go back in time and change it.

How could you behave like this when she had gone through and was still going through so much pain and remorse every minute? How could you think only of your own pain? It was not fair.

She grabbed her cell phone and got up from her couch, walking towards her exit to put on her shoes, grab her jacket and car keys and leave for your apartment, 

We will talk once and for all! I am not going to tolerate such stupid games that we both always hated. We can solve this. I know we can.

Seon thought inwardly feeling now determined to sit down with you and clarify things, tell you the whole truth and everything about her feelings. She had to face her fears as she should have done from the beginning, she had to try otherwise she would really lose you forever. It was or now or never.

She knew you well, and because of that, she could understand that your biggest source of anger had nothing to do with Jimin. But with the fact that she had lied to you.  She had hid things from you and had disappointed you.

She was the one that had betrayed your friendship and this was a fact that Seon had never thought that she would end up doing for she truly had never had such intentions. Because your bond was important to both of you equally.

Jimin was watching TV while eating some chips, waiting for you to come home from work.
