Chapter 24

Seon pushed Jimin abruptly, bringing his back in a collision with the front door behind him. An exclamation of pain left his lips in the process before he lifted his head and gave her a surprised look.

"Why are you like this ?! Can't you enter like a normal human being?!" She shouted at him, now disturbed by his kiss that almost made her relapse to actions that she had no plan to do.

"Calm down. I apologize. I just missed you and -" He tried to explain but Seon seemed too furious to not interrupt him.

"This is exactly the problem Jimin. You shouldn't miss me! I am no one you should miss, do you understand me!" She told him, her voice cracking in the process, as she could not control her anger.

"Don't say that. You are everything for me Seon" He gave her a soft look as he took a step closer to her but she moved away quickly, not allowing him to touch her again for she was aware that it could make her weak, and she couldn't afford that again.

"Oh is that so! You made it clear that you only have a physical attraction for me Jimin. Your actions are showing that so don't try to lie." Seon's words made him regret his impulsivity for his desire for her had out his feelings of love for her in a dirty light.

If she knew that he had liked her from the first moment he saw her, if she knew how many nights he had spent thinking about how to ask her to be his girlfriend and that for a while he thought she felt the same for him. A delusional hope that crashed the moment she had come with his brother after a few days and informed him that the two were now in a relationship.

If she knew the amount he had been hurt that day, how much he cried alone that night and how difficult it was for him to stay in the company of both of them again without expressing his thoughts. He had endured for years on end. Why did he even deserve to hear that his love was cheap now?

Of course, he couldn't speak about all this to anyone, because he was just afraid that they would resent him and he would be hurt by the harsh words that may follow and the way they could have stepped over his love. A love that he had tried to protect silently for so long only for her to dismiss it as nothing but lust, right that instant.

"Seon can't you just calm down a bit so we can talk-" He tried to approach her again looking quite hurt by her previous statement but Seon knew fully well that if she was to let him talk or even allow him to keep looking at her with that aching look, she would waver and she didn't want that.

This time she was determined to put an end to everything they had together.

"I'll talk. You listen once and for all. I can't live like this Jimin, I can't keep lying, I can't look into his eyes and instead of feeling happy, keep feeling awful. I am not willing to erase the smile from Jungkook's lips just because I let you seduce me "She uttered some of the things she was thinking at the time and went on without stopping.

"Why did you start all this! You make me like this! Stop it! Please stop it before I go completely crazy! Before I hate you as much as I have not hated anyone and before I hate myself too!" She burst out, now her eyes full of tears making Jimin feel like dying for it was his fault.

But I love you! .. I...

He admitted to himself for the first time as the pain in his heart had begun to become unbearable, threatening to bring tears to his own eyes as well.

"Right. I'm to blame for everything. You're right. It won't happen again. If it's to cause such an expression on your face, what's the point?" He responded, his hands morphing into fists at the side of his body as he tried to keep his chin up and appear unfaced.

He took the blame and turned around and left, failing to notice that the door had been already slightly open so far and that had resulted in their argument being heard outside in the corridor of the apartment building.

He closed it behind him with a thud, leaving a Seon to allow her sobs to grow as she fell on the floor and went on whipping, unaware of your presence behind her door, who had heard everything so far.

If you were to ring that bell and go attempt to comfort her, then she will come to know that you heard and that surely was bound to make her feel worse. So even though part of you wanted to stop her cries because they ached your heart, you ultimately didn't find the strength to trouble her more and add to the anxiety of the fact that you had found out

Instead, you decided to rush after Jimin, who had left quite furiously, not even noticing you behind the door.

Your mind was a blur as you reached the apartment building, having yet to process everything well but all you could feel was a pain in your heart. Pain because two people you cared about were suffering.

You got into a taxi that you managed to stop in time, telling the driver to follow Jimin's car that had just left the parking lot.

The whole drive passed by with you swimming in anxiety until he reached the apartment you shared and you got off the taxi and paid the driver before rushing towards the elevator, with intentions to get at home as soon as possible, simply because you were worried about him.

"Damn it, where are my keys when you need them" You cursed under your breath ones before your door as you rumbled in your bag for your keys and once you finally got a grip of them you hurried to unlock the door and enter, only to find Jimin by the mini bar, gulping down a whiskey bottle as if it were water.

"Jimin what are you doing? Stop it." You told him as you left your bag aside and approached him, making an attempt to pull the bottle away from his hands.

"Let go of me!" He shouted as he resisted your hold, causing a small push and pull moment to erupt between you two which didn't end so well.

Out of anger and in a  blurred state of mind as he was, he didn't even realise when he had used that much force while pushing you, a thing that had caused you to fall on the floor, swiping some bottles that were on the mini-bar along with you, that shattered and filled the floor with broken pieces of glass.

His eyes widened as soon as he realized his act and saw your hand bleeding for you had fallen on some pieces of glass that had cut your skin.

His gaze softened immediately but your gaze as you looked up at him, expressed not only surprise at his action but also tremendous fear.

"My God. I am so sorry, I did not want to-"

"Stay away from me!!" You screamed at the top of your lungs before you wrapped your arms around your head in an attempt to cover yourself as he had reached out his hand to help you.

Jimin froze in an instant at your reaction for he found himself facing a situation he had never seen before. Your body was trembling like fish out of water, and terror was clear in your eyes, which were full of tears that had yet to be released.

"Calm down, Y/N,  it's me...  I won't hurt you. I promise... I apologize." He looked at you tenderly while inwardly he felt terrible for he had ended up behaving in a way that had apparently awoken a trauma inside you.

He carefully brought his hands around you, observing you well for you kept looking at his fingers as if they were swords ready to slice you. He brought them closer slowly and managed to finally wrap you in his embrace before he started whispering in your ear, the amount of regret he had for this occurrence along with many reassuring words that you were safe and everything was gonna be fine.

Words simple that were meant to comfort you but instead they had you burst out in tears, feeling angry with your own self who apparently were as weak as you used to be.
