Ari was rhythmically tapping her foot on the ground as she waited for Yoongi's secretary to let allow her to see him, for she had gone all the way to his office after she had followed Taehyung around all day and had seen him meet up with Dae again.
Their meetings were no longer accidental and she had to share her thoughts and concerns with someone and who was better than the man who aroused these suspicions in her, to begin with, Yoongi.
"You can get in Miss." His cute secretary told her and she thanked her before entering Yoongi's office, which was her first time visiting.
"Ari...what brings you here?" Yoongi got up to greet her supposedly wondering what could have made her visit him, even though he had a guess in his mind.
"Yoongi we need to talk." She got straight to the subject, revealing her restless psychological state in her eyes.
"What happened? Why are you like this? Come, come take a seat, please?" Worriedly he grabbed her shoulders and offered her the chair in which after she sat down, he took a seat next to her and looked at her with eyes full of concern.
"Tell me everything, what's going on?" He asked her, anxiously looking into her squinting eyes.
"Do you remember that you told me the other day that you suspect that Dae is cheating on you?" Ari brought up the subject softly, while she was trying to control her feelings as she was quite hurt by the thought and only that things really were how she was thinking that they were.
"And I wish I could forget about that. Suspicious thoughts eat me up still." He admitted as he played the victim role well before her, making her inwardly feel even more reassured that the possibility of Taehyung being the one Dae was cheating on him with, was the truth.
"I saw her with Taehyung by chance yesterday and he didn't tell me that he met her and I know I shouldn't have but I couldn't stay in the dark so I followed him today and they met again," Ari confessed, on the one hand feeling bad that she had fallen so low that she followed him instead of just asking him, but for some reason, she was sure that he would lie as lately he had started lying often apparently.
Taehyung was behaving strangely and she had noticed but he always brushed her questions off with his sweet talk every time she had pointed out that something was off with him. Of course, at that time she had thought it was because of his job or something, but she hadn't thought not even for a moment that the reason would have been him having an affair. Until Yoongi had come along and had introduced her to that possibility.
"Hold up... are you telling me that my Dae is cheating on me with my friend Taehyung ?!" Yoongi said ostensibly surprised by her words, even though inwardly he was celebrating for he had got her, exactly where he wanted her.
"I didn't say that... I am just saying that there could be a small chance .... And I want your help to figure out how accurate this could really be." Ari clarified to him her thought process as she did not intend to believe such a thing yet, without at least some concrete proof.
Yoongi approached her and wrapped his arms around her, trapping her in his embrace in an attempt to comfort her, and she felt more at ease in his arms, for it was giving her a sense of security and safety, that she needed at this lost moment that she was in.
"Don't worry. I'll find a way that we can find out. Don't be sad...We will figure it out together, you aren't alone." He whispered to her as he stroked her hair gently, feeling slightly bad towards her strangely enough, for he was the one that had brought to her all this emotional turmoil.
---Change of set---
You looked in amazement at Seon, who had just entered Jungkook's office, where you were in, informing him of your progress as tomorrow was the big day that you would start your regular post, having taken over the new column in the magazine.
"Baby !! Oh, what a wonderful surprise this is." Jungkook immediately jumped out of his chair and ran to take her in his arms, leaving behind the cold professional expression he had until a few seconds ago, for his wife coming to see him at work was a rare phenomenon.
He took her in his arms and lifted her up, turning her round and round for a while as the smile on his face grew wider and wider, then he gave her a kiss once he left her feet to touch the floor again, radiating happiness.
"Shall I book a hotel room for you nearby and leave a sign at the door that writes on it " Do not disturb. Content 21+ " You joked, making Seon look down slightly embarrassed.
"It's not a bad idea. Give it a go." Jungkook urged you to go for that idea jokingly as he was still holding his wife in his arms, now back hugging her.
"Oh come on, stop it, the door is still open." Seon reminded him as she looked towards the door only to witness some employees that had gathered and were pretending to be supposedly passing by, just so they could see what was going on.
Jungkook turned and looked at them, too, before he let an exhale escape his mouth and left his gaze to become stern, a thing that made everyone who saw him, get out of sight as quickly as possible. Only his male secretary found the courage to walk a bit forward and proceed to close his office door for him.
He flashed an innocent smile at Seon after, not allowing her to know how strict he was at work, for he wanted her to know only his good side. And because of that he always made sure he appeared perfect before her. He always prepared things beforehand for that to be possible, like the other day for example when he got drunk. He had never allowed anyone he knew well to see him drunk except his brother and he definitely didn't want to let that messed up sight of him to be seen by his wife so he always made sure he got fresh clothes and sobered up before returning home.
"I will be right back babe, stay here." He urged her before pecking her cheek and leaving his office to put his workers in order as apparently, they needed to and once you and Seon were left alone in his office, the friendly atmosphere between you two dropped instantly.
"Why are you in my husband's office? Don't you think that you are being around him a bit too much?" She gave you a hostile gaze as she spoke for she knew that you were her antagonist at that moment and she couldn't allow herself to play safe.
"First of all, I work here, I'm expected to be around him, to not mention that you got me this post yourself, and second of all, I would be grateful if you would keep your husband to yourself but keep only your husband and no one else." You retorted just as harshly, announcing that war between you two was more than official.
"To tell you the truth, I didn't even want to take your man, he came to me on his own. It's not my fault that you are not capable of keeping him!" Seon spat poison, inwardly surprised with herself and her courage. How she had even managed to utter such words that she knew would hurt you?
You fell silent for a minute, thoughts from last night -when Jimin returned instead of staying in Tokyo as he had told you- flashing before your eyes along with the words you exchanged with him.
For some reason, you had meant what you told him because he was the only one who knew you and the only one ever who had asked to be in a relationship with you. You had gotten used to him to some extent and wanted for the first time in your life to make an effort to love him as a girl should love her boyfriend. You just wanted someone to love you as you were for once. Someone who would make you feel confident, someone who you could trust enough to open up to him and share with him some of your scariest memories. All this until now of course Jimin had not managed to become for you, but he was the only one who you had and you wanted to keep him.
"Seon...seriously, just broke things off with Jimin." Your cold tone of voice and the way you met her eyes had her fall silent briefly for she couldn't understand if those words were coming out of concern for you and how the situation could go or simply because of pure egoism.
"Y/N...Tell me honestly? Do you love him or is this all just because your pride got bruised?" You stared as you listened, inwardly questioning yourself too of what truly was the answer to that, because saying that part of you didn't care for Jimin, would be a lie.
"Both."
