You took a deep breath to calm your nerves before opening the door, only for a visibly worried Jungkook to walk in.
"Where's Jimin? Did he not get home yet?" He asked as he looked around but his brother was nowhere to be seen.
"He's fine. He's sleeping." You answered him, lying as you weren't sure if it was a good idea for the two of them to meet while Jimin was in that state.
"Did he got married!? Tell me he didn't do anything foolish like that!" Jungkook looked clearly stressed as his brother's message had caught him off guard and shaken him up.
He had no idea related to who Jimin intended to marry but he had sent him a photo of him with an unknown woman telling him that he was getting married and of course, Jungkook had no intention of letting him just marry any random woman like that without first finding out what she and her intentions were as he and Jimin also have a certain amount of wealth that many could like taking advantage of.
"No of course, what marriages are you talking about now? He must have been joking." You laughed a little, trying to convince him as it wouldn't be the best if he found out the truth.
"Are you kidding me? Who makes jokes like that? After he told me he was getting married, he also sent me a picture of the bride and said he was coming home with her. That's why I ran here." Jungkook explained his side and you fell silent for a while as your mind failed to find another good excuse to utter.
But as you remained silent, the pause made it easier for Jungkook to hear the noise coming from the bedroom. You had told Namjoon to stay there with Jimin and not to go out but Jimin didn't hold back his joy, as soon as he heard his brother's voice, making Namjoon struggle a bit to hold him but in vain in the end, as he soon ran out of the room and without warning, threw himself into Jungkook's arms, an act that caught Jungkook off guard.
"Jungkook-ah, ah you're finally here and I'm struggling to choose. Tell me, black or grey suit?" Jimin asked him with a huge smile on his face as he now had his hands on Jungkook's shoulders who was staring at him still speechless.
"You should take a white suit, to match the bride's wedding dress." You replied to his question instead full in sarcastic mode but Jimin took your words seriously, cocking his head to the side as he brought the image to life in his imagination.
"You think?.. It's not that bad... It's not bad at all." He blurted out and you simply ran your palm over your face, letting a weary breath escape heavily from your mouth.
"Y/N? Is he drunk?" Jungkook asked as it was obvious that Jimin wasn't behaving anything like his normal self.
" No, he overdosed on anti-depressants," Namjoon responded, uttering exactly what you had been trying so hard to hide from Jungkook so far. You were certain that he was bound to blame himself for it and he had barely started getting better and getting himself out of guilt and pain. So you would have prefered if he was not to learn of this but it was too late.
"Why are you talking? Did someone tell you to reply?!" You yelled at him rather abruptly and Namjoon looked a little startled by your behaviour because he didn't know he had said anything that he shouldn't have.
"Anti-depressants? Is Jimin on anti-depressants?" Jungkook's face turned serious upon hearing these words as he was shocked by the news but also saddened by the truth.
He looked at Jimin for a while and he just smiled at him as if nothing was wrong and for some reason, he felt bad. He knew he wasn't the only one hurting but he wasn't the one to apologize. He had every right to be angry with his brother and normally he shouldn't care about his pain or his psychological state but for some reason, at that particular moment, he found it difficult to be selfish as he usually was in his thoughts, when Jimin's case was to come to his mind.
"They are saying nonsense. I'm just happy, there's nothing wrong... eh-" Jimin started talking happily until he all of a sudden collapsed to the floor, catching everyone off guard.
"Jimin!"
"Jimin, Jimin, are you okay?!" Jungkook immediately fell to his side and shook his head worried about what happened but it seemed that Jimin hadn't fainted, he had just fallen into a heavy sleep rather abruptly.
"He is Sleeping?" You exclaimed fully confused while you looked at Jimin's face, which was now lying on the floor.
"Does this make sense now? Should we take him to a hospital?"
"Actually we contacted a psychiatrist. My girlfriend called one she knows and explained to him what kind of pills he took and the doctor told her that the sleepiness was normal after an overdose on those." Namjoon reassured them somewhat with the knowledge he brought to the case and then you all decided it would be best to put him to bed and let him rest.
Jungkook and Namjoon carried him there and Namjoon left Jungkook with him before announcing that he would take his leave and you proceeded to walk him to the door.
"I would like to apologise, I'm sorry for all the mess you've gotten yourself into. And I know I didn't make the best first impression on you, but I'm not as crazy as I may have seemed today. Thank you for your help." You gave him a small smile as you were feeling calmer now and thanked him, accepting that with everything that was going on, you had ended up behaving unacceptably with Jimin's colleague whom you had seen for the first time in your life.
"Don't worry, it was a stressful time, I totally understand. Please let me know about his condition. I'll cover for him at work for a few days. Just tell him to rest and not worry about anything." Namjoon gave his card to you before saying goodnight and you watched him leave for a while before closing the door, thinking that the guy looked like a decent gentleman.
"Y/N?" You looked to the side as soon as you returned to the living room and saw Jungkook walking out of the room and approaching you with fast steps.
"What? Does Jimin need anything?" You questioned him as now all your thoughts revolve around him and his situation.
"No just, I wanted to ask if you would mind if I were to sleep here tonight. I don't want to leave him alone." Jungkook's words surprised you but in a positive way as you understood that maybe you didn't need to worry so much after all because Jungkook's anger towards Jimin seemed to have calmed down by a lot.
"Of course, it doesn't matter. I'll go fix the bed in the guest's room for you." You gave him a smile and went to do just that and Jungkook sat down on the couch to catch his breath.
He rubbed the back of his neck a bit as he looked stiff from the hours he had been stressing at work over paperwork and then got up and took off his jacket which he had not had the chance to get it off him yet. He went to hang it on the hanger near the door but as he walked over there a sound was suddenly heard echoing from the coat that was already hanging there, which he recognized, as yours.
She must have forgotten her cell phone in her pocket.
He thought and after hanging up his jacket, he reached in the pocket and pulled out the cell phone which stopped ringing once on his hold.
"Y/N~" He called you as she looked at the screen and saw that you had missed one call by your mother as the contact ID read 'Mom'.
"Y/-" He went to repeat himself again but a message came on the cell phone from the same contact and caught his attention.
-Luke suddenly demanded his money back immediately.
-Please tell me you have money on the side.
He read the messages on the screen, which appeared on the notification bar, without him opening anything yet even though he easily could have if he wanted to as you had the habit to keep your phone without a code, using a simple L motion to unlock it.
Does Y/N owe money to someone?... And which Luke are they talking about?... The same Luke I know too?
Jungkook wondered and the conclusion that he ended up onto surely left him staring at nothing with widened eyes, as this was definitely something he hadn't seen coming.
