Chapter 48 (Meet the in-laws)

Arkin's POV

"Sige ma, mauna ka na sa loob at ipapark ko lang itong kotse." I said as we arrived at the restaurant.

I just got off the plane a while ago when mom told me that Tauriel is pregnant and is getting married. Who the hell did this to her? I'm gonna teach that punk a lesson.

"Okay, bilisan mo anak." Wika ni mama. She was so excited. In fact, she was so happy knowing that Tauriel is pregnant. She is so excited to have a grandchild.

"Ma, are you sure about this?" tanong ko pa sa kanya.

"Of course, Paul Jake seems to be a man of honor. I trust him. When you see them, makikita mong they really love each other. The way Paul Jake takes care of her, he looks like a good man."

"But ma?" angal ko.

"Let's just meet his family. Let's go meet him and then you can decide if you'll allow her to marry him. Okay?"

"Okay." I said at pumasok na siya sa loob.

Agad kong pi-nark and sasakyan. I looked at my phone. Kanina ko pa tinatawagan si Drew pero hindi niya sinasagot. He didn't even reply to me since I told him I'm going back to the Philippines. What's wrong with him?

Agad na akong pumasok sa restaurant na pag-aari daw ng kapatid nung Paul Jake. Tsk. I looked around. It's a big restaurant but I don't like the concept of the design. I saw people in a table at napansin kong walang ibang tao. So ni-reserve pa nila ang resto for this dinner? Humanda sa akin yung Paul Jake na yun. As I got closer I saw my sister rushing towards me.

"Andiyan na pala ang kuya ko." she said and embraced me.

Just then I saw the guy beside her stood up. As all their eyes were fixed on me.  But wait, these faces are familiar. I looked at the middle-aged people across the table.

"Kuya Arkin?" said the tall guy strangely looking at me.

"Arkin? Iho?"

Just when I realized who they were, I saw someone standing holding a plate. She was looking at me. Mom stood up and looked at her too.

"You are Thia right?" tanong ni mama.

Hindi siya sumagot pero ngumiti lang siya. That sweet smile I haven't seen in 10 years. Then it all started to sink in. I looked at the tall guy again. Just then, my sister dragged me close to them.

"Kilala mo si kuya?" asked Tauriel looking at the tall guy.

"Of course queenbee." Tugon nito.

Queenbee? What is that word?

"Do you remember me?" tanong niya sa akin taking my hand and he shook it. What? Who is this guy?

"Paul Jake." He said pero nakakuno parin ang noo ko. "You know me by the name PJ."

PJ? The PJ? That little kid from 10 years ago? That weird kid? I looked at him again, he is so tall, but I'm a little bit taller. I didn't recognize him. He looked so different. But wait, if he's Paul Jake then it means he's the guy that got my sister pregnant? Wait what? Then it means...

I looked at her again, she was still holding the plate standing like a statue. Then it means, PJ is Tauriel's fiancé?

Before I could open my mouth, I heard a familiar voice from behind. I looked back and there, I saw Wallace, Sheena and Drew.

"Arkin!" shouted Drew. Sheena looked at me like she saw a ghost and Ace just stood there and stared at me.

After a moment. We were all sitting at the dinning table.
