Chapter 77 (Stay)

Arkin's POV

"Arkin, calm down." Drew said to me as I went in and out of the emergency room.

"How can I calm down if Thia and my baby are in danger?" I said.

He tapped my shoulder.

"Ark, Thia is a strong woman. I know she will get through this. They will be okay." He said.

Just then Sheena went outside.

"What did they say?" I asked.

Her face isn't as worried as before.

"The doctor said she just needs to rest."

"The baby?"

"The baby is fine. Nagdugo lang siya pero okay na sila. She just needs to be stress free and in complete bed rest." She said.

"I will go in. I wanna see her. Is she awake?"

They both looked at me.

"What?"

"Arkin, I think it's best for her kung hindi ka muna magpakita sa kanya." Sheena said.

"What?"

"Ark, she's right." Wika ni Drew.

"But I need to be with her."

"Ark..."

"I need to make sure she's okay."

"Please Arkin, para din to sa ikabubuti ni Thia at ng baby." Wika ni Sheena and she went back inside the emergency room.

"Ark." Drew tapped my shoulder again.

"I just want to be with her. She needs me. They need me."

"Ark..."

"Please, let me be with her." I plead.

"Ark, you know, Thia has been through a lot. The moment she found out she was pregnant, she had to lie to us. She and Wallace had to lie to us. Ark, I can't even describe what she went through. I don't want to blame you but, I think you're one of the reasons why she's in there right now." he said.

Napayuko ako. He's right. It's all my fault.

"Ark, I know it's hard for you, pero I know you don't want them to be in danger. To be honest, I can't blame Thia. She deserves to be angry."

"I know." I softly said.

"Ark, for now, you need to rest. We'll call you once she's ready."

I was hesitant.

"Ark, look at you. You look horrible. Have you eaten? Did you even sleep? Ark, you also need to take care of yourself."

I can't even remember the last time I had a meal or a decent sleep. The past five days had been a roller coaster ride. Tama si Drew, I need to be strong for Thia.

"I know."

"Ark, I know you have reasons. I understand you. I'm your friend at alam kong you never intended to hurt her. For now, go get a sleep. Go have a healthy meal. Go have a nice bath." He said joking.

I smiled.

"Thank you."

"Don't worry, hindi namin siya pababayaan."

"I know. Thank you." I said again before leaving.

It was after a day when I got a call from them saying Thia wanted to talk to me.
