Scene 4

(Trev's Lie)

Arkin's POV

One week before Drew's wedding, Ace went to my office so suddenly.

"What can I do for you?" tanong ko.

"It's about Trev." He said.

"W-what about Trev?" I curiously asked.

"Here." He said giving me a piece of paper.

"What is this?" tanong ko looking at it.

"Call that number." He said.

"But why?"

"I don't want to say this without investigating, but my colleague said, he can already walk." wika niya.

"What?" gulat kong wika.

"I don't want to tell you without an evidence, but I think it's best kung ikaw mismo ang magtanong sa kanya. Is he really telling you the truth?"

"But..."

"Or did he just fool you all these years?"

"Ace..."

"Don't deny it Arkin, I was there that night when he asked you to love Yana kapalit ng kapatawaran na hinihingi mo." he said.

My knees got weak, I sat down.

"How long are you going to keep this up Arkin? You've already hurt a lot of people. Go and find out about the truth, that's how you will set yourself free from all the guilt you felt all these years. That's the least I can do for being your friend." He said then he left.

It took me a long time to think about it. Kung totoo man, he has been fooling me all these years?

Then like a fool, I made the decision to leave Thia, again. Umalis ako na gulong-gulo ang isip ko feeling angry. It took me three months before finding out about the truth. The painful truth.

Scene 5

(Arkin's going to be a dad)

Arkin's POV

As soon as Thia left the OB/GYNE clinic, I followed Wallace.

"Arkin? You're still here?" tanong niya.

"Ace, tell me the truth." I said.

"About what?"

"I saw you, ikaw at si Thia, coming in and out of that OB clinic." I said.

Natigilan siya and looked at me.

"Ace."

"Arkin, you better leave. I'm busy." He said.

"Ace, please tell me the truth." I pleaded.

"Arkin, don't. I'm not in position to tell you anything, and please don't ever show up in front of Thia. Lalo mo lang siyang sasaktan." He said.

"But Ace..."

"Please just leave. Don't make a scene at my workplace." He said and left me with a lot of questions in my head.

He called me after two days telling me he wanted to meet me.

"I'm really glad you called." I said upon arriving at his condo.

"Beer?" tanong niya standing in front of the fridge.

Tumango ako.

"You don't have work today?" tanong ko.
