Chapter 59 (Love me)

Arkin's POV

I went inside Yana's room not answering Trev's questions.

"Arkin!" wika ni Yana and embraced me. "I thought I couldn't see you again. I was so scared." Wika niya.

I tapped her shoulder. "Let's talk." Wika pa niya. "Arkin, let me explain."

Let's do that later. Ang importante ngayon, you should rest.

"Pero Arkin..."

"Let's just talk later okay." I said in a soft voice.

She just stared at me.

"Kinausap mo ba si Thia? Anong sinabi niya sayo?" tanong niya.

"May kailangan ba siyang sabihin sa akin?" tanong ko. "Don't worry about anything. All you have to do now is rest." Wika ko.

"Then what? What would you do after I get well? Iiwan mo na ako?" tanong niya.

I was not surprised that she asked that.

"Yana, calm down." I said.

"How could I calm down? How could I calm down kung alam kong yung relastyon nating pinaghirapan kong ingatan ng sampung taon mawawala nalang ng ganun ganun lang? You think I'm stupid Arkin? I knew it, I knew this would happen. Let's go back to the states." Wika niya.

"Yana, please just rest. Let's talk about it later." Wika ko. I don't feel like arguing with her today. I don't wanna cause her any pain anymore. I know she suffered a lot for the past 10 years.

"Arkin... please..." she started tearing up. I just embraced her.

"Shhh. Just rest for now. We'll talk about it sometime. Just please have a rest."

She hugged me back and tightly as if she never wants let go.

"I'm sorry for making you feel this way." I whispered.

"Just please stay, stay with me." she replied.

It was followed by silence. I don't know what to say anymore.

Thia's POV

It was a few weeks after what happened to Yana but I still can't get over it. It still bothers me a lot.

"Oh, tulala ka na naman diyan." Wika ni Sheena. She just arrived at our condo.

"Ah, wala may iniisip lang ako. Nasan si Drew?" tugon ko. Hindi ko pa nakukuwento sa kanya ang nangyari. She's busy preparing for her wedding and I don't wanna bother her at least.

"Ah, mahuli siya, may dadaanan lang daw. Bakit mo naman naisipang maginvite ng dinner? Alam mo ba, it's so stressful. Biruin mo, kahit may mga coordinator kami nakakastress parin. Ang dami daming gagawin." Wika niya.

"Sino ba kasing maysabi sayong irush niyo ang wedding niyo. Pwede niyo pa namang planuhin eh." Wika ko.

"Hay naku ewan ko ba kay Drew. He said it's now or never. Teka nga, ano nang balita kay Yana?" tanong niya.

"Hindi ko rin alam." I answered. Since what happened, I tried my best not to be involved with them again, especially Arkin.

"Bakit di mo pa ba nakakausap si Arkin?" tanong niya.

I just looked at her.

"It's so strange. Sabi ni Drew, tahimik din daw si Arkin about what happened. I'm quite confused."
