Chapter 65 (Painful Love)

Wallace's POV

I left Thia for a while to do my rounds. It has been a hectic day dahil maraming pasyente. Thia will be discharged today so I did my rounds quickly. I was passing by the terrace when I saw someone at hindi ako pwedeng magkamali. Si Thia yun, kasama si Arkin. my feet froze. I stood up there like a statue. They were embracing each other. I couldn't move an inch seeing that. I remembered the night when I was supposed to visit Thia.

One day ago...

I was on my way to Thia's condo to surprise her. I bought two tickets for a concert today. I checked the tickets again as I rode the elevator. When I arrived upstairs, I slowly opened the door trying not to make any sound. There I saw Thia, but she was not alone. She was with... Arkin.

She was holding his hand wiping off what seems to be blood on it.

"I'll slowly remove the debris of glasses, just tell me kung masakit." Wika ni Thia.

"Just go ahead." Tugon ni Arkin.

They didn't even notice me standing at the door. I was frozen. I could move my feet. I was like a statue. I didn't know what to do. All I could do was stare at them.

"Ano ba kasing nangyari?" tanong ni Thia.

"Nothing, it's just... nothing." Tugon ni Arkin.

"The next time you'll barge into Drew's condo, at least let him know you're coming. Tignan mo itong sugat mo, it looks like it might need stitches." Wika ni Thia.

"It's fine, I'll get it fixed once my meeting is done."

"Pag hindi mo pa ito pinaayos, mas lalong dudugo." Sermon ni Thia.

"About what happened..."

"It's okay. Wag mo nang ipaalala, let's just pretend it didn't happen." Wika ni Thia.

"Thia..." wika ni Arkin as they stared at each other. Seeing them like that seemed like forever. At that time, I did'nt know how long should I still stare at them. It hurts, like how it hurts for ten years almost begging love from Thia.

"Ah, i-its done." Wika ni Thia letting go of Arkin's hand.

"T-thank you."

"This is just for today, pasalamat ka you have a wound so I'll let it go for today, pero in the future, as I told you, let's not cross path anymore."

"What about the wound in my heart?" tanong ni Arkin.

"Arkin pwede ba stop talking nonsense." Tugon ni Thia as she stood up but Arkin held her hand.

"Don't you wanna know why I left you ten years ago?" tanong ni Arkin.

She faced him.
