Chapter 66 (Crying Again)

Thia's POV

"Yes, kasama niya yung fiancé niya. Tauriel said kuya Arkin is leaving for the States for good..."

Hindi ko na narinig yung mga ibang sinabi niya I hung up the phone.

For good? Aalis si Arkin? Kasama si Yana? For good?

I quickly dialed Arkin's number but he was not picking up.

I was thinking about a lot of things. Why would he leave? Why didn't he tell me? I felt like I can't breathe. I quickly searched for my car keys and rushed to the airport.

"Please Arkin, don't do this to me again." I whispered.

I was dialing his number the whole time but he still hasn't answered it. Traffic sa daan and I found myself crying the whole time. What did he mean when he asked me to wait for him? Why is he leaving? Why is he leaving me again? I threw away the last shred of dignity I have. Upon arriving, I looked for my brother. I found them near the parking lot.

"Ate Thia?" gulat na wika ni Tauriel upon seeing me.

"You actually came here?" wika ni PJ.

"Nasan si Arkin?" tanong ko. I was out of breath.

"They... they already left." Tugon ni Tauriel.

"The plane left 15 minutes ago." Wika naman ni PJ.

My whole world fell apart that time. I felt like crying but I held back my tears in front of them.

"Bakit ate? Hindi ba nagpaalam si kuya sa inyo?" tanong ni Tauriel.

"H-hindi." Tugon ko.

"Sabi niya, he's going to tell you all at the wedding. I guess, he felt sad that he didn't tell you." wika pa niya. "Kasi, ate Yana wanted to go back to the States. She said she will completely heal there and eventually get married there."

"Get married?" tanong ko.

"Yes, they're finally going to push through with their plans of getting married after all these years." Wika ni Tauriel.

Marami pa siyang mga sinabi pero pakiramdam ko nabingi na ako. Wala na akong naririning. I was just thinking about Arkin.

His promise.

Did he just leave me again?

Wallace's POV

After a long night duty, I decided to go to Thia's resto. I knew she would feel along right now. Sheena is with Drew and they will soon leave for their honeymoon.

"Sir, wala po si maam dito." Wika ng staff niya. "Hindi po siya pumasok."

"Okay sige salamat." Tugon ko.

Where would she be? Agad ko siyang tinawagan.

"W-Wallace." Her voice was a bit husky.

"Are you crying?" tanong ko.

"Huh? H-hindi. K-kakagising ko lang. I mean, yes, kakagising ko lang." tugon niya. "B-bakit?"

"I went to your resto but you're not here. I just wanted to have lunch with you. I'm free until tonight." Wika ko.

"Ah, g-ganun ba? S-sige. Punta ka nalang sa condo. Ipagluluto kita." Wika niya.
