Her jaw dropped open. And she murmered to herself...

He moved to his desk and picked up some random file and started flipping it's pages.

She fiddled with her pallu getting impatient to tell him she doesn't want to see him working on his files atleast. She bit her lower lip and with expectant eyes, waited for him to turn and take her up in his arms but he was adamant on not turning anytime soon.

Corner of his mouth turned up slightly in a smile as he stood there still running his eyes through the pages and waiting for her to make the next move... Some move... Any move.

'Aaj to main bhi dekhta hoon ki tum kaise awaaz nhi lagaati ho'

She took a step ahead and stopped and frowned for a moment. A lot of thoughts kept running in her mind...

'Ekdum bholuram chhe... Kya karoon mein inka... Aur tu bhi ne Anupamaa ekdum paagal chhe yehi tem mila tha tujhe ettitude dikhaane ke liye ab ho gaya na sab gadbad... Accha khaasa chal ra tha lekin ni tujhe to bolna tha... Bol liya ne ab bhugat...'

She frowned even worse at her own stupidity that might keep her all depraved and dry for the rest of the day.

'Ab kya karoonn kese manaaun... Kese bolun... Mene bola to unko ye na lage ki mein ek aurat hoke aese kese bol sakti hoon... Toshu ke papa se bola tha ek baar to unhone to... Khair... (She tried to avoid that thought) Ye to Anuj hein mere Anuj... Inko bol ke dekhoon kya... Ajeeb to ni ho jaayega?... Hey Kanhajii ye sab itna muskil kyun hei... Jara asaan nai bana sakte the... Ek kaam karti hoon saamne khadi ho jaati hoon... Nai naii... Ajeeb lagega... Inke mudne ka intejaar karti hoon... Lekin ye mude hi ni to kitni der aisi khadi rahoongi... Mein bhi file dekhne lagoon kya... Par phir to sach me ye waala kaam hi karte reh jaayenge mujhe ni krna abhi ye kaam jab isse accha kaam ho sakta hai... 😭😭 (She hit her hand on her head in frustration) ... Relex Anupama... Ekdum relex raho aur jo pehli cheez aye dimaag me vo kar dena bas... '

She took in a deep breath and exhaled it out with force.

She took a step forward, stood by his side and titled her head to peep in his file.

- Ye kon si phile hai...?

She fakes interest.

- Vo ye collaboration requests ki file hai. Dekhogi?

Even the will to fake interest left upon hearing his answer and she rolled her eyes in frustration. She got quite aware that beating around the bush was so not gonna help and she needed to come straight to the point.

- Chhoriye ne Anuj ye to aap...

- Ye to mein? Kya?

- Ye kaam to aap baad me bhi kar sakte hein ne...

- Kar to main bahut kuch baad me sakta hoon... Par tum to jaanti ho na main koi kaam baad ke liye adhoora nahi chhorta.

She made pichhattar kone ka muh hearing his answer.

'Huh... Bade aaye koi kaam adhoora ni chhorta... Aur mujhe jo aise beech me chhor ke kat lete hein uska kya... Main jroori ni hoon ya mere saath karne waala kaam jaroori ni ha. Bas jab dekho ishtyle maarte rahenge aur kaam ke time par nikal lenge... Phir baad me kahenge Anupmaa mei koi kaam adhoora ni chhorta... Thepla adhoora ni chhorte aap koi kaam!'
