50. Preceding Shenanigans

Decked up in the wonderful saree of her own choice, she sat in the hotel room, wearing bangles one by one. She had sent everyone out and they themselves were keen on leaving her alone so that Anuj could be sent to escort her at a later hour.

Baapuji asked her if she wanted an engagement in the Shah House but seeing neither Anuj nor her interested in the idea he did cast it aside.

She could hear the commotion outside her room as Samar would occassionally shout after some florist giving him some last moment scoldings. He was so keen on making this day impeccable in his mom's life. There was no room for any imperfections. She wasn't allowed to go out. She didn't know what hotel they were in, what all was going on out there... Anuj really didn't give her any sneak peek into the day's arrangement. He knew Anupamaa would always resist spending heavily on a single day but he wanted it to be special. Yeahhh... In the end she framed the entire budget and everything was done accordingly. Devika ensured the best of everything in Anupamaa's minimalistic budget but yet... It was all supposed to be a surprise for her.

Bas ek pal jo ekdum acche se dhyaan aata vo... Vo angoothi jaa nahi rahi thi meri ungli me jab pehnaayi jaa rahi thi... Phans rahi thi par... Phir bhi kisi tarah bas pehna di... Halka sa Dard hua jab pehni to par phir bas... Sagaai ho gayiii... aur raat ko main kamre me baithi thi to kisi tarah se use nikaala aur neeche giri vo to maa ne daant diya ki use utaara nahi jaata... Jitni mushkil se utaari thi utni hi muskil se dobaara pehen li aur... 25 saal nikal gaye usi me... Dobaara kbhi dard ni hua... par jis din talaaq ke baad kamre par aayi aur vo angoothi utaari... Usse jaada sukoon uske pehle kabhi nahi mila tha...

*Well... I don't know how long could a person wear a tight ring it's not like the fingers are gonna remain as slender as they were 25 years ago... but it was shown in the show so I kept up with that... Ho sakta ho shaadi ke baad kuch mahine baad utaar ke rakh di ho... Who knows aur talaaq ke pehle pehen li ho ki baad me utaar ke swag dikha sake😎😎*
