Foreigner Of Time [Book II]

Lisa finished washing up for the morning, and she was ready to head out and look for Jennie when knocks sounded at the door.

"Come in."

Alison entered through the door, came up to Lisa, then she gave her salutations, "This maid greets the young master."

"Alison, you came at just the right time. Where's your lady?"

Alison took a bitter look at Lisa.

Lady had stayed up with Lord Stark yesterday night, and she still hadn't had time to rest until now. But this person was just great, he slept all the way till the sun's shining bright in the sky! 

The lady was really something too, she would rather trouble herself than let anyone come in and disturb him. 

A big man like him... looking even more well rested than women, it's seriously...  

Although she was full of bitterness, Alison did not dare to express any of it.

Thanks to the grounding last time, Alison had already learned her lesson. 

She also finally understood that this 'pretty face' was her lady's dearest treasure; she could not afford to offend him.

"Answering the young master, the Madam sent someone to call the lady to the front courtyard yesterday night. The lady sent this maid here to see if the young master is awake or not. If awake, may the young master head to the main courtyard after having breakfast."

"Did something happen again?" .

After the past events, the good impression that Lisa had towards Eddard because he looked a little like her father was already lost.

Now Lisa would bristle whenever she heard about anything involving Eddard.

"This maid does not know. The young master will know once you are there."

Lisa left the room quickly.

How could she be bothered with breakfast now?

She raced to the front courtyard, but there was nothing out of the ordinary there. 

The servants greeted Lisa once they saw her, then they continued on with their work in good order.

Lisa came to the door, then she asked a servant girl to give a notice for her.

She received permission a moment later, then she entered the bedroom.

The room was filled with the smell of mugwort. 

All three members of the family were there.  

Dressed in snow-white middle clothing, Eddard was leaning back on the bed with an extremely poor complexion.

Ruby was presently feeding Eddard a bowl of medicine while Jennie stood at the side holding a copper basin which had towels laid over its side.

Lisa let out a breath. 

She walked quickly to Jennie, then she took the basin from her hands as she said softly, "Let me."

Jennie stepped aside. 

Ruby turned back for a look, then she smiled and said, "Lisa, you're here?"

"I greet father and mother. What's the matter with father?"

"Oh, your dad is feeling a little unwell, it's nothing serious."

Eddard did not raise his eyes throughout the entire process. 

He had a few more spoonfuls until there was only a little liquid left covering the bottom of the bowl. 

He pulled the blanket over him up a little, then he closed his eyes and waved Ruby away.
