Lisa's group switched to horse carriages from the General estate, and they travelled for over a dozen days until they finally arrived in the city where the Grand General and the Royal Princess lived in.

After experiencing a journey that took nearly fifty days, it roused a new round of thought from Lisa.

Before this, Lisa had always felt that his Majesty the Emperor placed Edward in such a deserted land more or less out of scruples towards the General estate's soldiers. 

With Edward's placed in the middle, it should provide a buffering effect.

No matter how it's said, the Grand Duke, the Royal Princess, and the present Emperor were siblings.

If the General estate wanted to revolt, in this arrangement... the Royal Princess would have to give up her blood related nephew in order to progress the army into the middle plains.

Although it was a double-edged sword, that would somewhat increase the psychological burden the General estate would have to endure in a revolt. 

It was even more beneficial to the court.

But after taking an actual trip here, Lisa started to think otherwise.

Alaris was truly too far.

From Fort Tryon to Alaris... it took them over forty days to reach it even with the escort of experienced drivers and light luggage.

What about the distance between Fort Tryon and the capital city?

At that thought, Lisa couldn't help but sigh that 'experience is the best teacher' was true indeed.

If she hadn't taken this trip, she might have kept the relationship between the inner court, the General estate, and duke's estate in some sort of stereotyped impression.

Or think presumptuously that their relationship should be like this or that.

"What are you thinking about, in such a trance?" Jennie was half leaning against the carriage compartment wall with a book in her hand, but her attention was actually on Lisa.

Jennie had already been looking at her for a long while. 

Lisa had been lost in thought ever since just now... who knows what she was thinking about?

Lisa smiled and said, "It's nothing, I just thought about some interesting things. I'll tell you about it once we're free tonight."

"Alright~."

"Master Manoban, we're here." 

The voice of the driver from the General estate travelled in. 

The drivers for the other two carriages informed the people in their carriages too.

"Got it!" Lisa answered, then she said to Jennie, "We're finally here. I really don't want to go on such a long journey again in the short term."  

Jennie gave a beautiful smile.

The carriage door opened, then Lisa got up. 

Leading Jennie by the hand, she walked to the carriage plank, then she jumped down first.

Just as the carriage driver was about to place a foot assist down for Jennie, Lisa said, "No need to bother."

She carried Jennie down from the carriage, placing her next to her side.  

Jennie shot Lisa a hard look, and the latter simply smiled, "Let's head over to cultivator Jisoo's side first."

"Alright."
