"Wife~, I'm going now. I'll be back today if it's quick, but if it's slow... you might have to wait until tomorrow." I said then landed a kiss on her cheek.

"Go then, be careful on the road."

"Mm."

I went out from the window. 

Walking through covered paths, as I snuck my way out.

I found my steed, undid its rope, then got onto its back. 

I went down the gentle slope, then turned on the device in my left eye.

Starting the navigator, I headed straight for province's pier.

I had been silently planning something since last year. 

More accurately speaking, I was planning an escape route...

Last year, without Jennie's knowledge, I took out all of my property and handed it as down payment.

After collecting gold in Fort Tryon through the treasure map gimmick, I took a swift trip to Driftmark and made the full payment.

According to the deal, I should see results this year. 

Of course... that was with the prerequisite that I had not been lied to.

I spurred my horse all the way to the province. 

The familiar pier was quiet and empty. 

Although the hour wasn't late, the pier's peak hour had already passed.

I went through the market, then looked up at the port...

Delight rose in my heart.

I went towards that foreign ship, then went up the deck without any obstruction.

A few more young and unfamiliar crew members were scrubbing the deck at the moment.

"Excuse me, may I ask if Captain Luffy is here?" I asked.

The sailor stopped what he was doing, then he turned and looked at me...

Seeing me, the sailor's surprise was really visible in his eyes, "What did you say, sir?"

"I said, is Captain Luffy here? I'm Crisóstomo Ibarra, I made a deal with him last year..."

"Please wait for a moment, sir, I'll ask for you right now."

"Thank you."

The sailor left his brush behind and ran towards the cabin. 

A moment later, he raced back to me and said, "Sir, the captain would like you to come over, please follow me."

"Alright."

On the way there, the sailor turned his head from time to time, studying me with eyes full of curiosity.

We had a simple conversation. 

Seeing that I was easy to approach, he took down his sailor hat and bowed to me before leaving, "Sir, my name is Usopp. If you need me to run any errands for you, I'd be happy to help."

"I'll keep that in mind, thank you for leading the way for me."

Once Usopp left, I knocked on Captain Luffy's door.

Outside of the room, I heard a tapping noise. 

Wondering what that noise was, I entered the captain's office.

The room inside was filled with smoke. 

Captain Luffy shook my hand warmly, then he went around the desk and took out a box of cigars, "Sir Ibarra, want one?"
