Rosie's POV

Oh. My. Gosh. Can't breathe. So excited. Trying to act cool. Nope. Not working.

"Hey, you okay?" Ryland asked as we walked up the driveway to his house. "You're kinda shaking a little bit."

I giggled and glanced up at the freckle-faced boy next to me. "Yeah. I'm good."

"So wait you live here?" I stared up at the gorgeous house.

"Not anymore." He chuckled. "My siblings and I moved out and got our own place. After that, my parents moved and got an even bigger home."

"Whoa. It's really nice."

"I know, right?" He beamed excitedly. "And our place is right across the street."

"No way." I turned around. "That's pretty cool."

"Totally." He winked.

I tried to stay chill but my chill was slowly going away. Ryland pushed opened the unlocked door to his parents' home.

"Hi Ry!" A motherly voice called from the kitchen. I was a bit surprised that his mum knew who walked through the door without seeing them.

"How does she know it's you?"

"Mom skills." He explained.

"Ohhhhhh. Gotcha."

A lady in a cute apron appeared in front of me and she hugged both Ryland and I. Her blonde hair was up in a bun and she was smiling from ear to ear.

"Mom. This is Rosie." Ryland introduced us. "Rosie, this is my Mom, Stormie."

"Nice to meet you." I smiled at Stormie.

"It's so wonderful to have you here." She giggled.

Her joy and excitement was 100% real and I could see it in her eyes. She was a nice lady and very beautiful too. We followed her into the kitchen and Ryland handed her the boquet of flowers he had been holding.

"Oh my stars!" She exclaimed. "Ryland. This is so sweet of you. I love them!"

"I'm glad you like them." Ryland smiled and hugged her. I sat there grinning uncontrollably.

"Awww." Stormie chuckled. "You are my favorite-"

She paused and looked up. I turned around to see a blonde girl and a blonde boy standing in the doorway.

"-my favorite son named Ryland..." Stormie finished, giggling nervously.

The two blondes looked annoyed for a second but then I realized they were just joking. As soon as the girl saw me, she put her stuff down and pulled me into a tight hug.

"Hi!" She squealed. "I'm Rydel and that's my brother, Ross."

Ross looked up from what he doing and smiled up at me. Whoa. Are there any unattractive Lynches? Guess not.

"Hi." I chuckled at Rydel's excitement. "I'm Rosie."

"Oh my gosh." Rydel's eyes lit up. "After dinner tonight, you should totally come back to the bandhouse and we can chill in my room."

"Sounds fun but I wouldn't wanna overstay my-"

"Nonsense." Stormie interjected. "You are more than welcome to stay for dinner. We're having a tacos and I accidentally made too much taco meat...which really shouldn't be a problem because of how many kids I have...should I make brownies?"

I tried not to laugh at the fact that she totally just ranted about tacos. "I would love to stay for dinner."

"Perfect!"

"And yes." I replied. "You could make brownies. I wouldn't mind that."

A very tall man with greyish walked into the kitchen and poked Stormie's side.

"Mark!" She squeaked. "You nearly made me spill all of this on the floor."

The guy, who I'm assuming was her husband, chuckled and began helping her with dinner.

Stormie lightly nudged Mark and nodded over at me. He turned around and jumped a bit when he saw me.

"Whoa. Hi." He laughed. "Sorry, I didn't see you there. I'm Mark."

"Rosie. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too."

I finally got around to kicking my shoes off and I helped Rydel, Ryland, and Ross set the table on the deck outside.

The sound of footsteps were heard from the wooden stairs and a cheery brunette boy appeared.

"Yooooooo."

The others greeted him and then allowed me to introduced myself.

"Whoa. Ellington Ratliff? Cool name." I said to the boy.

"Thanks. You too, Bro." He laughed.

I liked that kid. He seemed to be quite funny and judging by how he and Rydel interacted, I figured they might be a thing. I soon found out that my guess was right and that Ratliff and Rydel were dating. They were super cute and I couldn't help but exchange goofy looks with Rydel anytime Ell said basically anything.

I was standing to Ryland as everyone chatting on the deck. He was actually holding my hand but it didn't bother me at all. I was very okay with that. I went to get another can of iced tea but when I turned around, two extremely tall guys were right behind me.

Startled, I shrieked and stumbled backwards, erupting with laughter. Ryland quickly turned around to see what happened but he didn't realize I was directly behind him so he ended up, accidentally elbowing me in the face.

"Whoa." Ryland caught me as I stumbled backwards. "That's like twice in one day. I am so sorry."

I chuckled and blushed a bit. "It's okay, RyRy. I guess my face is irresistible."

"I agree." He winked.

Gosh, this Ryland kid has really got me fallin' for him. I've only known him for a few hours and I'd marry him this very second if I could.

I was introduced to Riker and Rocky, the two tall guys that nearly gave me a heart attack, and we all sat down for dinner.

LATER THAT NIGHT

Playing with the grass surrounding the blanket, I stared up at the clear, starry sky. I was lying beside Ryland and we were sharing our biggest secrets. Some were downright silly and others were pretty weighty.

"Okay your turn." I said softly.

"Alright. So...." He began with a slight giggle. "I fell in love with a girl named, Rosie today."

"You did?"

"I did." He kissed me softly. "I really did."
