Dearest Lyla,
I never thought I'd be married to Ross Lynch. Before I had dreamed of it but I never expected that dream to come true. I had been mildly (overly obsessed) with him for over six years and I had watched R5, the already-sensational band, become the marvelous band they are today. I had actually met Ross when R5 played at a fair years ago and after going to many more shows, we hung out more, started dating, and now, I was married to the band's frontman.
I woke up one morning and didn't feel well. I had a suspicion as to the cause of sickness but I decided to investigate further. Later that morning, I found out I was pregnant and you were gonna be here in nine months.
The time spent excitedly awaiting your arrival was the longest nine months of my life. Every night, your Daddy would come home and rub my tummy and start having little conversations with you. He would tell you about his day and all the things he was excited to do with you. Other nights, he gets a little worried and scared about us becoming parents. I totally understand that because I'm a bit worried myself. I've never really brought a human life into the world before so it's kinda nerve-racking. Thankfully, our excitement and thrill will always outweigh the little moments of fear and that's a very good thing.
Every night, your daddy kisses me (and you) goodnight and says "Sweet dreams, my Love". Then always makes sure I'm warm and cozy before falling asleep himself.
A few things you should know about Daddy:
1. He's a deep thinker. He loves discussing really intriguing matters of life. Sometimes I don't even understand where some of his thoughts come from but that's just one reason I love him.
2. He will always be able to make you laugh. Ross is the most amusingly entertaining people you will ever know. I remember I was standing backstage during an interview he had with the band. He mentioned an inside joke we had and I burst into hysterical laughter, accidentally disrupting the interview. He's simply hilarious.
3. He's a very hard worker. He's extremely diligent and gives everything he does 110% effort. Lyla, when you grow up, I hope you marry someone just as industrious as your dad. He's so hard-working, and he perseveres even when the going gets tough. I'm so blessed to have him as a husband.
4. He's very selfless. Daddy will do just about anything to see me smile. I know for a fact, that when you're born, he'll do the same to you. He always puts me into consideration whenever he does anything. He's so caring and thoughtful and extremely romantic. If I could, I'd write to you about ALL the sweet things he's done for me. Although some things, I gotta keep a secret cuz they're just between me and him. You'll understand when you're a bit older. Don't worry, Dear.
Lyla, we're so excited to meet you in person! Daddy's already written, like 962 songs about you (maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. It's more like 9 songs but still...he's really excited). I can't wait to have another friend in my life and I am more than blessed and thankful to be your Mummy.
