Ally's POV
I stepped out of the car and into the warm sun. I was literally going to explode with excitement but kept my cool as my friend Kayla and I started walking the sidewalk.
"Ticket?" I asked Kayla cuz I knew she'd most likely forget hers.
"What? Oh. It's in the car. Hang on." I laughed as I watched her dash across the street.
I met Kayla only a week ago when she moved here to take dance lessons at a really intense studio. When she moved here, one thing led to another and I soon found out that we both shared a love for R5.
She dashed back across the street but didn't have her ticket. I gave her a confused face.
"I forgot. I put my ticket in my shoe cuz I knew I'd lose it." She grinned goofily.
"Alright then. Shall we?" I smiled, starting to walk.
"We shall." Kayla replied.
We finally got to the venue and that's when I started to get really excited. I was going to meet R5! I smiled like an idiot as we got to the door and realized we were extremely early.
"Good. Now we don't have to fight the crazies to try and get in." Kayla said sort of to herself.
I was kind of zoned out. I was in the midst of daydreaming. Daydreaming about Ross. His contagious giggles and handsome smile, the way he ranted about the most random things, his beautiful hair, his amazing voice, his eyes.... I could go on and on and on. I looked up and saw that we were in the very front of a long queue that went out the door and down the sidewalk. My heart began pounding and I tried to keep myself from jumping up and down.
"Kayla? How come you're not freaking?" I asked her. She was standing completely still staring into space.
She laughed. "Oh...umm....I don't freak out, I freak in."
"Got it. Freak in. Not out." I succeeded for a moment until I saw Mark and Ryland come out and greet us. They gave us wristbands, checked our tickets, and let us in one by one.
Kayla and I stood smack in the center. Right where Ross would be standing. Kayla was already taking tons of pictures. The meet and greet was fabulous. Soundcheck was fantastic. Brandon and Savannah were amazing. Ryland's DJ set was brilliant and now for R5. The stage lights were off and there wasn't a sound except for the steady chanting of the R5 Family. "R5, R5, R5, R5, R5, R5, R5....."
Kayla and I didn't join but instead, quietly stood there taking everything in.
Eventually, I could see Ratliff taking a seat at the drum set and Rocky walking over to his mic. They started off "Forget About You" with an epic intro. Then Rydel and Riker joined them. Finally, Ross walked onto stage and smiled brightly at the crowd before jamming out with the rest of the band. Yes I got shoved, pushed, jabbed, hit in the head with phones and cameras but I honestly didn't care. Ross was right in front me. Then suddenly, I looked up and saw the bittersweet sight of the band taking a bow. It was over. The concert was seriously surreal. R5 took a selfie with the sea of fans behind them and then waved goodbye as they headed offstage. The audience slowly trickled out of the auditorium and back into the sunlight. I squinted as my eyes and adjusted.
"That was so much fun!!! Look! They signed my shoes!" Kayla squealed.
"I know! Mine too." I beamed. I was gonna miss R5. There was a loud honk followed by screams as the R5 tour bus drove away.
As soon as we we got to my car, we blasted "Ain't No Way We're Going Home." The parking lot was confusing and since I was driving home, I did my best to try and get back onto the main road.
"Okay, I think I passed this big red jeep at least seven times. I'm gonna stop and try to figure this out." I sighed.
"Ooh!" Kayla gasped. "Ask him." Kayla pointed to a tall blonde guy.
"Kayla." I rolled my eyes. "That's Riker."
Wait. Why is he still here? Did the bus leave without him?
"Oh. I know it's Riker." She smirked.
I groaned in fake annoyance and pulled up next to Riker. Kayla rolled down her window. "Hey Riker! Sick concert. Which way do we go to get out of the parking lot? Oh and where's a good place to eat nearby?"
Riker smiled. "Oh. Hi. Umm thanks...and uhh....you guys could follow me if you want and I'll help you get out of here."
"Thanks so much." Kayla giggled.
"No problem. I'll be right there."
As soon as Kayla rolled the window back up, she screamed. Loudly.
"Yeah, yeah...you spoke to Riker. That's great." She nodded her head ecstatically.
Finally, Riker's blue car pulled up behind mine. He hopped out and I had no idea where he went. I patiently waited until a knock on the window on my side of the car startled me.
I rolled it down and saw Riker laughing. "Sorry to scary you. Umm where do you live? Are you from around here? If you don't mind me asking..."
"You're fine. We actually live in Northridge. It's only like twenty minutes away...sorta."
"Cool. Wanna come to our place for dinner?" He offered. "Since y'all are only like twenty minutes away...sorta." He added, mimicking me.
I didn't even look at Kayla for agreement or make any second thoughts. "Sure! We'd love to!"
"Cool! Follow me!" He walked back to his car and pulled in front of me and I followed Riker's car out of the parking lot and onto the road.
"ALLY!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!?!?!" Kayla shrieked.
"What?" I asked.
"Dinner. With. The. Lynches."
