Chasidy's POV
We were at the part of Nemo where all the eggs get stolen and I was already fighting the feels. If you haven't seen, I'm sort for two things: I'm sorry you haven't seen it yet and I'm sorry for spoiling the plot it but at least you have a warning so the tears don't flying when you actually watch it. I scooted closer to Rocky and usually, he would put his arm around me and snuggle up but this time he didn't.
He was looking at his phone. I ignored it cuz sometimes I did that. Who knows? Maybe he was texting his mom or something. After about ten minutes, he was still looking down.
"Is the movie boring you cuz I could change it..."
He quickly put down his phone and looked up. "No. Not at all. I was ummm...just texting Delly...she was having an 'existential crisis'. "

"Oh. Oh dear."
"Yeah..."
He rested against me a little bit and finally started watching the movie.
I glanced over at his bowl that was untouched. "Hey. You should eat something unless you're not feeling well."
"Oh. Right. I almost forgot. Mmm...smells so good."
I snickered as he immediately shoved a huge spoonful of Mac'n'Cheese (do you eat Mac'n'Cheese with a spoon or a fork...or a spork? I can't remember. It's been ages hehehe).

"So good, Babe." He grinned with his mouth full.
"I'm glad you like it."
About thirty minutes later, he was on his phone.
"Oh my gosh!!!! What kind of penalty call was that??!?!" He shrieked.
"Wait what?"
"Oh...um...Rydel called me and then hung up."
I shrugged and focused my attention back on the screen. Not even two seconds later, Rocky was being loud and obnoxious.

"TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!" He announced. It scared me so badly and I accidentally sent my bowl of Mac'n'Cheese flying.I broke and the cheesy pasta went everywhere. I snatched his phone and looked at the screen. The Denver Broncos had just gotten a touchdown and it was on replay.
"Have you been watching this the whole time?"
He blinked innocently and I looked away because he always won me over with that face of his.

"No. Don't gimme that look. Rocky, I put a lot of time and thought into this and if you wanted to watch the game, you coulda just said something."

"I know and I'm sorry but I didn't wanna let you down."
"Really? Well I appreciate the thought but sometimes you just never communicate. You always hold your peace at the wrong time and run your mouth at the wrong time. Like in that interview the other day, the lady asked a question about me and you just sat there with your mouth shut? Is it that you're ashamed that I'm your wife? Is it because you're homeschooled because from what I've learned, you're actually really intelligent and maybe you should have went to college-
"Hey! Homeschoolers are intelligent and if I went to college, I wouldn't be writing music and I wouldn't be touring and I wouldn't have met you during that one tour."
"You just never speak up and I'm so tired of always having to do the talking."
"Okay well lemme speak up now! I'm shy and you know that. If I could just talk through music and everyone could understand me I would. I'm sorry I'm quiet at the wrong times and I'm sorry I'm obnoxious. Would you prefer a different guy for your husband because you don't seem too happy with the way God made me and there's nothing I can do to change that."
He sighed with frustration and his shouting was scared me a little bit. He had never really gotten this upset with me before.

I backed up and instantly regretted what I said about him being too quiet. He looked really hurt and I'm sure I did too.
All of a sudden, there was a quick knock on the door before Ellington let himself in. "Oh my gosh. Rocky I'm not a huge fan of the Broncos but did you see that touchdown!?!? It was golden-oh...never mind...I'll let you two go back to business...."
Ell backed away and left. I turned back to Rocky who was wiping away a couple stray tears.
"Oh Rocky...I'm sorry I made you cry." I sniffled. I began to cry as well. I reached forward to hug him but he jerked away.
"No. Leave me alone."

I turned around and stormed up to our room. Locking the door, I plopped down on the bed and cried myself to sleep. The sound of the light rain drowned out all of my negative thoughts and I was happy about that.

The sound of guitar strumming woke me up. I knew it was Rocky but I didn't look up. I thought he was outside the locked door so eventually gave in and opened it but he wasn't there. I looked both ways before shutting the door. I heard his voice singing and could see a silhouette outside one of our bedroom windows. Rocky was sitting in the pouring rain and he was dangerously perched on the roof. I pushed open the curtains a little bit and listened to the words.

Hey honey how would you like
To have a time on the town tonight
We can go where you wanna go
It'll be so nice

So cutie what do you say
I'll pick you up around 7 or 8
We can talk and laugh all night
It'll be so great

A love like mine
Isn't something you'll come across
Too many times
But I'll keep my fingers crossed

I'll treat you so well
and you'll feel like you've never felt
It's hard to find
A love like mine

You seem like you need a break
So take a chance with me today
We can take all of that stress
And make it go away

If money is what you like
Buy whatever you wanna buy
Well, what my lady wants my lady gets
So just name your price

A love like mine
Isn't something you'll come across
Too many times
But I'll keep my fingers crossed

I'll treat you so well
and you'll feel like you've never felt
It's hard to find
A love like mine

A lot of other guys
Don't treat a girl right
But I swear that I
Won't ever lie

And I know you've been hurt
But I'll always make sure
To put you first
I'll put you first.....

"I love you and I'm sorry." I smiled. He grinned back and mouthed the same thing. I leaned into kiss him and he made a face of confusion before imitating me. As soon as my lips hit the foggy glass, I understood why he was looking at me like I had eight billion flamingoes pooping on my head.

I opened the window. "Oops. Hey. Sometimes I forgot how soothing and wonderful your voice is."
Rocky tried to be cool as I opened the window. "Hey-whoa."
He went toppling over. Oh gosh. Did he just fall off our roof? I am a terrible, terrible person. A second later, his head popped up and he climbed in through the open window.
"I'm not clumsy. I promise."
"Mhmm...sure."
I pulled him into a hug regardless of his soaking self. "I'm sorry. I never want you to change because your goofy and silly and handsome and kind and talented and I love you just the way you are."
"I love you too, Chasidy and I'm sorry for not being honest with you."
"I forgive you, Handsome."
"Now what you think about watching Up and I let you tell my brothers I cried."
"Yes and I'll take pictures."
"Oh gosh. Then I better do my hair and makeup." He joked flipping his lovely brown locks.
"Okay but first, change because you're gonna catch a cold."

"Okay alright. Oh and I cleaned up downstairs for you."
"Aww thanks. Youre the best, Rocky."
"I know." He flipped his hair again. "And humble too."
"And clumsy. Don't forget that."

I headed downstairs and found a bouquet of pink flowers on the counter. I grinned and read the note that was next to them. It was a sneak peek of the lyrics to the new song the band was working on called Let's Not Be Alone Tonight. "I like how we get along like snow in New York....and I love you so very much, Chasidy."
