Hey Alli! I hope you like it. Thanks for being so patient with me! Also, the picture above is one I took in Philly and it's blurry because I had no chill since Ryland was like five feet away from me. (He's so cute. Oh my lands.) Anwayyyyyy...enjoy!

Alli's POV
"YES I FEEL GOOD, SING IT WITH ME!" The crowd sang out.
I was overwhelmed by how epic these shows were. Seeing R5 live was like a dream. They sounded so good and they were so unbelievably talented. I may or may not have seen R5 live eleven times in the past three months. I went to nearly every show I could attend on the East Coast. Ryland was directly in front of me since the soundboard was located ahead of me. It was quite distracting because he was very tall and also extremely attractive. Whenever I wasn't staring at the five beautiful humans on the stage, I was staring at the beautiful human five feet away from me.
Ryland turned around to smile and wave at a group of girls who were sitting behind me. They had been shrieking and calling his name for the past five minutes. I happened to be standing on my tiptoes because I couldn't see from my spot directly behind him. I tried to act chill and "normal" when Ryland looked at me. To my surprise, he extended his hand and reached for me. After helping me step over the low wall, Ryland smiled down at me.
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Alli." I replied.
"Nice to meet you, Alli. I'm sorry." He said sweetly. "Was I blocking your view?"
I was extremely tempted to reply with, "Dang, you're so fine. You ARE the view." but I refrained.
"Umm..." I maintained my composure. "A little bit."
"Well you can sit here with me." He whispered. Ryland rolled his seat over for me. Then he draped the lanyard with his ID tag on it. At first, I couldn't figure out why he was whispering but then I realized it was because the venue was so loud. You either had to whisper or scream over the music.
Ryland knelt down to my level. "If you need anything, let me know."
"Thanks." I replied, utterly starstruck.
I lifted the tag that hung from my neck and inspected it. It had Ryland's name on it, the Sometime Last Night Tour logo, "LD, DJ," and other random things on it. I knew Ryland was a DJ but I was curious as to what LD meant. I carefully tapped Ryland's side and he immediately turned towards me.
"What's up?" He grinned.
Trying to focus on my question and not his dimples, I spoke. "What does LD stand for?"
"It stands for 'Lighting Director'."
"Oh. Duh." I giggled.
"Yep. Hey, wanna try something?"
"Sure." I stood up slowly.
"Cool. When I tell you to, press this button and watch what happens."
"Okay." I nodded shyly.
Ryland gave me the signal and I pressed the button he directed me to. The stage lights flashed and flickered in the most captivating way. I was utterly mesmerized.
"Whoa. That was so cool!" I beamed.
"I know, right?"
After the band closed with Wild Hearts, people started exiting the venue. Others crowded around the sound-booth to take pictures of Ryland. I tried my best to stay out of the way but it was tricky cuz the crew was bustling around packing stuff up. I sat on the low cement wall and waited for the crowd to clear out. While I waited, I pulled out my phone and checked Twitter. Already, there were pictures from tonight's show in New York. I zoomed in on a selfie that a girl attempted to take of her and Ryland. I saw myself in the background and chuckled. Then I read the comments.
"Eww. Did you see that girl that was with Ryland all night?"
"#clingy"
"I don't even know her and I don't like her."
"Just because she has VIP seating didn't mean she had to be all over Ryland like that."
I tucked a strand of curly hair behind my ear and took a deep breath. Those girls didn't even know me and they already had something against me. Ryland was the one who invited me to sit with him. I didn't plan on hanging with him all night.
I decided it would be best if I quit while I was sorta ahead. I took the lanyard from around my neck and placed it nearly on one of the tables in front of me. Then I climbed back up to where the seats were and, without daring to look back, I broke into a run. I jogged up all the cement stairs of the outdoor venue and made it out to even fresher air.
It was quite empty by now and it was dark. Now was one of those times I wish my girl-squad was here with me. I was on my own today so I decided to stick my earbuds in and play some music while I walked to the car. I hummed along to the Fall Out Boy lyrics as I made my way through the parking lot. I was probably gonna have to wait awhile for my ride to arrive but oh well.
Suddenly, blinking lights caught my attention. I whirled around and saw a big bus reversing.
"Oh. My. Gosh." I said to myself. One of R5's tour buses was parked to the side of the tall entrance gate. I watched the the tour crew loaded a semi-truck nearby. Then my heart sank a bit as I watched Ellington and the Lynches climb into the bus.
"Wait!" I heard Ryland exclaimed. He stopped abruptly, causing the others to crash into him.
"Where are you going?" Rydel asked.
It then occurred to me that Ryland had saw me and now he was running after me. I turned my music back on the pretended not to notice. I don't know why I thought my speed-walking would be faster than Ryland's running. He caught up with me and gently tugged my arm.
I paused my music, took my earbuds out, put them away, and looked up at the handsome brunette.
"Hey Alli," Ryland said softly. "You left before I could say goodbye."
"Yeah. I figured I'd get outta your way."
"No, no, no. You weren't in my way at all. I really enjoyed your company."
I tried to object. "Yeah but-"
"You saw the stuff on Twitter and Instagram didn't you?" I practically watched his heart sink.
"There's stuff on Instagram too?"
"Umm...maybe. Just don't look at it. I don't want you to be any sadder than you seem right now."
I instantly burst into tears. "I didn't mean to make them jealous. I wasn't trying to be clingy. They all hate me now and I have absolutely nothing against them. Can't you make them understand, Ry? It hurts so bad."
Ryland hugged me tightly and let me cry it out. He allowed me to rant to him and listened carefully.
After wiping a tear away with his thumb, he spoke. "I don't want you to believe or listen to a word they say. I know it's easier said than done but pay no mind to what they're saying. I'm your friend, I'm here for you, and I love hanging out with you. That's the truth and don't you forget it."
"Thank you." I smiled weakly.
"Of course!" Ryland winked. "Hey. I'll tell ya what. Why don't you let your family know you're okay and then you can come with us for a little bit. There's two extra bunks on the bus and you and Delly can share a hotel room whenever we stop. We have a few more East Coast shows and it'd be super awesome if you could come along."
"Really? But I live here in New York."
"No worries. We'll get ya back home safe."
"Whoa..." I tried to process everything.
Ten minutes later, I found myself on a bumpy tour bus ride.
"Another female!" Rydel squealed. "This'll be so much fun. I can't wait to go shopping with you."
I chuckled and looked down at the borrowed pajamas I was wearing. "I can hardly wait."
After a few failed attempts and lots of laughter, I managed to get in my bunk and stay in bunk.
"Don't worry. I'll get up and catch you if you fall out." Rocky offered since he was across from me.
"Naw, Rocky. I got it." Ryland stated.
"Oh. Alrighty then. I won't intrude on true love." Rocky snickered.
Ryland's cheeks turned red and I hid my face in my pillow.
"Goodnight, Alli." Ryland laughed. "Sweet dreams."
"Goodnight, Ryland."
