Tiara's POV

Today was just like any other day. I would get up, get out, and head to the recording studio. I worked there as administrative assistant on weekdays. I liked my job but sometimes it could get extremely boring.

Some days, many artists would walk in and I would get to meet and/or welcome them.

I got to talk with artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Bea Miller, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Zendaya, Lucy Hale, Jordan Fisher, and R5.

Most of the time, I just sat at my desk and resisted the urge to check social media on the computer or the laptop.

Also, my boss was kinda rude. She was a bit snooty so she was also dropping little comments that I just had to brush off.

Speak of the devil...I mean angel...

"Good morning, Tiara."

"Good morning, Jennifer. How are you?"

"I'm doing well." She smiled. "Oh my. Let me see if I can find something for your face."

I slowly put my hand to my face. "Wait. What's wrong with my face?"

"Oh it's just so oily and you've got pimples the size of Jupiter."

"Oh." I hung my head. I personally thought my face looked fine and for once, my skin was cooperating with me and my existence. But no. It just wasn't good enough for Jennifer. She came back with some type of face cream and handed it to me.

"Keep it." She said. "You need it more than I do."

It reminded me of the scene in "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" where Mr. Tumnus tries to return Lucy's handkerchief to her. Lucy refuses to take it and says to Mr. T, "Keep it. You need it more than I do".

I cringed at the thought that Jennifer unintentionally quoted C. S. Lewis' iconic story.

Ugh. No Jennifer. You can't ruin Narnia like that. No. It is not acceptable.

So I continued to sit at my desk and sipped my tea.

"Hey. I-"

I jumped, slightly burning myself.

"Sorry to scare you."

I looked up and stared into the eyes of a tall, handsome blonde boy.

"Oh that's okay. You're fine."

Way fine. Totally fine. Finer than fine. OH MY.

"Hi." I grinned sheepishly.

"Hey. I'm Ross." He spoke in a raspy voice.

"I'm Tiara. Pleasure to meet you."

"The pleasure is mine."

"Oh umm...so can I help you with anything?"

"Oh yeah. I was just gonna ask where the coffee room was because I wanted to make some tea."

"Oh." I grinned, slowly getting up from my seat. "Follow me and I'll show you."

I tried not to act super excited that I had a reason to leave my desk. As we walked to the break room, I decided to make small talk with Ross.

"So what brings you here this morning?" I asked.
