Jordy’s POV

I was on the couch stuffing my face with candy while watching the ending of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I heard the door swing.
“I’m home!” Rocky announced.
“Yay! Chicken wings!”
He came into the room and handed me a tub of chicken. I was so happy.
“Thank you.”
“You’re very welcome, Jordybear.”

“You missed the movie, though. Was it really snowy out there?”
“Yeah. Lots of ice.”
“Ooh. Yikes.”
“Let’s watch Tangled.”  Rocky suggested.
“Okay but can I have some watermelon and some mayo please?”
Rocky made a face. “Sure thing. Do you like need a bucket in case you puke?”
“No but judging by your face, you might need the bucket more than I do.”

A few moments later, Rocky came back in the room with a bowl of watermelon and a smaller bowl of mayonnaise on the side.
“Thanks, Handsome.”

We started the movie and I dipped a piece of fruit into the mayo. Rocky stared at me like I had the head of a possessed unicorn.

“Oh Bae, I can’t watch you eat that. I’m gonna go get more blankets for us.”

“Okay.” I smiled.

From upstairs, I heard a thud and then Rocky screamed. I couldn’t exactly speed upstairs but I hollered, “You okay!?!?!”

“Yeah…I’m good.”
I heard him limping down the stairs. He hobbled over to couch and threw a blanket on my face.

“What happened upstairs? Are you okay?”
“Yeah. I just kept forgetting that you put that mirror in the closet so when I was looking for the extra blanket, I saw my reflection in the mirror and thought it was an intruder..” He explained. “so I kicked the ‘intruder’…and my foot hurts.”

I withheld laughter and hugged him. “Lemme see  your foot.”

“It’s fine.”
“Well I wanna make sure it’s not broken.”
“Nah. It’s good.”
I took one look at his blue and purple foot. “Ooh. Sweetheart, you should probably ice that.”

“Okay and then we can finally watch our movie.” He grinned.
Rocky came back and we eventually got around to watching our movie.
“Hey Rocky, I think we should head to the hospital.” I suggested casually.
“Wait why? My foot’s fine. Chillax.”
“Yeah but I feel like I’m gonna have a baby and it’s rather uncomfortable.” I managed to giggle.
“Ohhh…right. Let’s go.”
Rocky helped me to the car and then headed back inside to grab the diaper bag and the carseat.

Now I understood that Rocky had to drive cautiously because of the snow but seriously dude, could we pick up the pace?
“Rocky…”
“What’s up?”
“Could you perhaps drive a little faster?”
“Oh sure. Do you wanna lay down in the back?”
“No because I want to hold your hand.”
“Okay.” He smiled as he held my hand, squeezing it reassuringly.

We arrived at the hospital and I was in a lot more pain.
“You know what always makes me feel better?” Rocky asked.
“What?”
“Singing.”
“NO!” I shrieked. “I’m not singing. I’m having a freaking baby and you want me to sing?”
He simply grinned and shrugged playfully.
“Ugh. This is so totally your fault.” I groaned.
“Hey it’s your fault too.” He smiled.

“Next time, you can have the baby then.” I snapped.
“Okay. It doesn’t look that hard anyway…”
Rocky seemed to be enjoying ticking me off and I had to admit, it was funny but I was in too much pain to appreciate his humor.

“Just shut up and hold my hand.” I cringed.

He kissed the back of my hand. “As you wish Princess Jordybelle of Venice Italy.”
I burst out laughing but even laughing hurt.
Eventually the nurses and doctors entered room and that was when it hit me; I was going to be a mommy after this was over and that was a crazy, scary, and exciting thought.

“Rocky. I’m scared.”
He leaned in. “To be honest, I’m a little scared too but don’t worry. You’re gonna be a boss mom. You’ve got a heart of gold and the kindest mind not to mention. You’re a smart and caring chick and I love you. Don’t worry about anything. It’s all gonna be a-okay. You’re gonna be the best mom ever and I’ll be beside you the whole time.”

The doctor spoke, “Are you sure you don’t want to find out what you’re having?”
Both Rocky and I shook our heads. “We want it to be a surprise.”  Rocky replied.

Everything from then on was a blur but I remembered one of the nurses saying, “I hope you’ve got two carseats ready…”
What she said did not make sense until less than an hour later: I was sitting on the bed with two beautiful baby girls in my arms. I couldn’t believe my eyes and I started to tear up.

“Wow. They are so beautiful.” I whispered.

I could’ve stayed there holding my daughters with Rocky beside me for the rest of my life. It was a surreal moment.

After sorting out the whole carseat ordeal and brought our girls home.

“Taylan Grace and Trystan Malia. So beautiful.” I smiled, admiring the baby girls.

Rocky was in the kitchen. “Eww. You have some leftover watermelon and mayo. You want it?”
“Rocky, that’s nasty.”
“Hey you ate it and loved it.”
“I did?”
“Mhmm…”
“Gross.” I laughed.

“Hey, I’m excited.” I said picking up Taylan. Rocky was holding Trystan.
“Me too. I’m glad I can chill now with the three girls that I love so very much.”
“Aww.” I grinned.

“But now we gotta have a boy.”
“Umm who said I’m letting you near me again?” I joked.
“I know you love me.” Rocky rolled his eyes.
“Yeah. I kinda do.” I smiled and we sat on the couch with our girls just taking it all in.
