Kat's POV
Literally as soon as I got home, I had a text from Riker. I plopped on the bed and read it.
"Okay so when I got home? My mom had to re-bleach everyone's hair, yeah? Well I kinda decided to do something a little different so ummm here's a selfie..."
I looked at the picture and saw Riker making an adorable face. Then I looked over and saw that Riker had lavender-coloured hair. OH MY GOSH! It actually looked really good. He's so random sometimes. Who goes home and just colours their hair? Riker, I guess.
I couldn't wait to see him in person. Tomorrow we were gonna go on a run for fun.

THE NEXT MORNING

I seriously was dying. We did I agree to go on a run this early in the morning? Or even go on a run at all? Who does this? Why run if there's nothing chasing you? Ugh.
Riker slowed down.
"We can stop if you want..." He said kindly.
I stopped jogging and bent over trying to catch my breath.
"You okay?" He chuckled.
"No Riker. I am, in fact, dying."
"Oh. Sorry to hear that..." He ran up ahead but then came back. "Kidding. I wouldn't ditch you. Here, jump."
He leaned forward.
"Wait what?" I made a confused.
"Jump on."
"Oh..." I jumped on his back and held my arms around his neck. For the next two miles, Riker piggybacked me uphill without even a single complaint. That was just one of the reasons why I loved him.

THREE YEARS LATER

"Hahahaha and remember that time when you piggybacked me up that awful hill?" I snickered.
Riker rolled his eyes. "Oh yes. I seriously thought I was gonna die."
"Pfft. It was only two miles."
"Yeah well one day...imma make you carry me uphill."
"Never gon' happen, RikeyBoo." I cooed, trying to annoy him.
"Eww." He scrunched up. "Don't call me RikeyBoo."
"I can if I want to and I will." I sassed.
He sighed in defeat. "Fine. If you insist."
I giggled and gazed at my hand again letting everything sink in. My wedding ring sparkled in the moonlight that shone through the car window. We were on our way home from our wedding. Riker had always been my best friend and I guess now, he was kinda sorta here to stay hehe. I looked out the window, taking in the nighttime scenery in Cali.
We arrived at a huge beautiful beach house. The view was breathtaking. Riker helped me out of the car and I nearly tripped over my huge almost-annoying dress.
"Ugh. This big, poofy, wedding gown is bothering me."
"I can fix that." Riker smirked.
I literally ran inside with my still adorkable husband behind me and what happened behind those doors; well that's between me and my RikeyBoo.
