The phone buzzed, waking Chloe up from her slumber. Rolling over in her bed, the tabby cat saw she had a text from Gidget. An invitation to come to Central Park for a day of fun activities. Turning off her phone, Chloe rolled back over with a heavy sigh.
Frankly, she just wanted to be alone.
Chloe knew she shouldn't be moping around her apartment all day. She knew she couldn't just shut out the rest of the world and pretend it didn't exist. She knew that it had been two and a half months since the incident. That was enough time to grieve for the love of god! She knew all of this. And yet she still felt broken.
Groaning quietly, Chloe sat up in bed. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to hangout with everyone. It would only be a few hours over at Central Park with all of her friends and their kids. What's the worst that could happen? Heck, she might even be able to see Rascal again. The thought at first made her happy. But then she felt sad all over again when she remembered he didn't even know who she was to him.
"I'm such an idiot..." Chloe mumbled, laying back down. Reduced to sniffles, the feline covered her eyes with her paws. She wept as she thought of her only son. The tabby cat knew she had to give Rascal away or else he would've been taken away from her. Sure, it hurt her to do that. But she had no other options, it had to be done. But at least he was being taken care of by his father Ozone.
Another wave of sadness washed over Chloe as she thought of Ozone. He had to raise their son all by himself. And all because they were both too scared to admit to anyone they were in love. As far as the tabby cat knew, nobody would ever learn about the secret relationship she had with Ozone. Yet she wanted them to know. With that in mind, Chloe got to her feet and went to get ready to go to the park.
She knew she had to do this.
