Licking her lips, Chloe gazed longingly at the cake resting on one of the top shelves in the refrigerator. It was practically begging her to devour it. As long as it's not made of chocolate, I will be fine! the tabby cat told herself. No longer able to resist, Chloe began climbing up the shelves.
"Chloe, what on Earth are you doing?" Ozone's voice sounded all of the sudden. With a yowl of shock, Chloe whipped her head around to find the hairless cat at her window. "Uh, I should be asking you the same thing!" she replied back. Flicking his pointy ear slightly, Ozone answered, "Pops asked me to check on you while he and Myron searched for his granddaughter and Leonard. He and Olivia have been sneaking out again."
"Well, that explains why I haven't seen him for some time. If you ask me, I think it's a good thing Leonard is dating Olivia," Chloe remarked. Ozone burst out laughing at that. Snickering, the tabby cat joined him. After a few seconds, they stopped laughing and stared at each other in silence.
"Agree to never say a word about this?" Ozone asked.
"Agreed," Chloe replied.
