Padding along the sidewalk quietly, Ozone didn't notice Chloe was running up to him until she was just a few inches behind him. Turning around, he found the tabby cat out of breath. "Chloe, are... are you alright?" he asked, deeply concerned for her wellbeing. Still breathless, the gray tabby nodded her head. Sitting down, Ozone waited patiently.
Finally regaining her breath, Chloe smiled as she explained, "I was just at Pops' place because I wanted to ask him something and... well..." Ozone tilted his head, wondering where she was going with this. Nuzzling the hairless cat, Chloe whispered, "We're gonna be parents."
"Are you serious?!" Ozone exclaimed, shocked. Unsure, he reached out a shaky paw and pressed it gently against Chloe's stomach. His big green eyes instantly shown with wonder. Purring, he licked the top of Chloe's head lovingly while his tail intertwined with hers.
