Stretching in the early morning sunlight, Ozone began to lick his paw silently. It had been two weeks since he and Chloe had admitted that they loved each other. The two cats often hung out but they never told anyone. In truth, it was perfectly fine with Ozone. He didn't want his decisions questioned by the other Alley Cats while Chloe didn't want her reputation ruined. They also feared that they would be teased.
Just then, Ozone saw Nitro and Pepper running over to him. The couple had big smiles on their faces as they halted in front of him. "Okay, what's the news of the day?" Ozone asked. Whiskers twitching with uncontrolled happiness, Nitro declared, "Pepper and I are going to have kittens!"
Eyes almost bulging out of his head, Ozone mumbled, "That is news indeed..."
