Pepper was purring as she watched her four kittens nurse. There were three boys and one girl in the litter. The oldest and biggest son was a light gray with white dots. The second was a dark gray while the third was completely white. Her youngest and only daughter, however, was a light brown and white tabby. To Pepper, they were all beautiful.
Just then, Pepper heard footsteps coming towards her. Peering through the darkness, she could see her love Nitro and his best friend Ozone. She gasped when she saw the tiny kitten hanging from Ozone's jaws as the two cats stopped before her.
Placing the kitten down beside her own litter, Ozone spoke softly to Pepper, "Please raise my son, please." Jaw dropping, the gray and white tabby looked down at the tiny creature as he pushed his way through her kittens just to get fed. Smiling, Pepper nodded her head, not even bothering to ask who the mother was...
