"Are you youngsters happy with yourselves now?" Pops asked as he draped a blanket over a shivering Mel and Buddy. The whole gang was sitting around a small campfire, most trying to get dry and warm from their water balloon battle earlier that day. Wrapping himself and his best friend in the blanket very tightly, Mel spoke through chattering teeth, "Very happy." Pops scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Aw, did we miss a water balloon battle or something?" Leonard commented, trotting over with Olivia by his side. Whirling around, Pops practically had a fire blazing in his eyes. Whipping a pair of scissors out of nowhere, the old basset hound growled, "Curly Hair, hold still. I'm a trained doctor so you have nothing to worry about."

"Woah dude, calm down. We just want to talk," Leonard pleaded, backing away from Pops as quickly as he could. He even hid behind Olivia. Facing her grandfather with her boyfriend trembling behind her, the female basset hound spoke calmly, "Look, we have some news to tell you all."

"You're finally breaking up?" Pops asked hopefully. The rest of the gang glared at the elderly dog. Shaking her head, Olivia stated, "Nope, nothing like that. I have something even better. Grandfather, you're going to become a great grandfather." Frowning in confusion, Pops stuttered, "What?"

"Olivia's pregnant, we're going to have puppies," Leonard explained, peeking out from behind Olivia. The poodle had the audacity to wag his tail. The rest of the gang applauded and congratulated the young couple on their upcoming litter. Once the cheers died down, all eyes turned towards Pops, who had remained silent. Holding up the scissors again in a threatening gesture, the old dog snarled,"You're in trouble now boy."

"Leonard, run," Snowball suggested quietly, making a shooing gesture with his paws. Leonard didn't need to be told twice as he grabbed Olivia and bolted. Chasing after them as fast as he could, Pops howled, "Curly Hair, you are so dead! Stop running from me you yellow bellied coward!"

"Mommy, what was that about?" Snowy asked Gidget. Giving her daughter a lick on the head, Gidget murmured, "I'll explain when you're older."
