"I want you guys on your best behavior, got it?" Buddy looked his closest friends and girlfriend in the eye. Sweetpea chirped sharply. Clearing his throat, Mel translated, "You know that Sonya and I are four days older than you. Then we got Sweetpea who's almost older than all of us by a year." Sighing, Buddy apologized, "I'm sorry, it's been so long since I have seen my sister."
"Hey, don't worry," Sonya replied, licking Buddy's cheek lovingly. She added softly, "I don't like it when you get stressed out, so stay calm. Okay?" The dachshund nodded his head slowly, recalling how Pops had told him that he had somehow developed asthma. It was difficult for him to breathe whenever he was running or getting worked up. Recently, he had taken a few lessons on how to keep his cool from Myron and Pepe.

Sonya leaned against him, offering emotional support while Mel and Sweetpea kept their eye on the door, which slowly opened. A fluffy brown dachshund was hanging off the doorknob on the other of the door. Dropping down, she smiled and went over to her brother, who was wagging his tail. "Hi Thelma," Buddy greeted his sister, giving her a hug. Behind Thelma, four little puppies came racing inside after her.
Jaw dropping, Mel exclaimed, "Buddy, you're an uncle too?!"
