Gulping, Duke quietly followed Gidget's mother inside the apartment, the others just a few inches behind him. "Congratulations," Pepper purred as she and Sonya stepped aside. Meanwhile, Pops had laid down, looking awfully exhausted. But Duke's eyes were trained on Sky, who had her back turned towards the group. Lifting her head and peering over her right shoulder, the Siberian husky spoke softly, "It's alright Duke, he won't bite... not yet at least."
Heading over to where Sky lay on the towel, Duke gazed down at the mound of fur curled up against the husky's stomach. Eyes closed, the newborn pup placed one large paw on his mother's side as he yipped for milk. Smiling, Sky gently pushed the puppy closer. Soon, he was happily nursing. Duke's eyes brimmed with tears of joy as he lowered his head to sniff his son. The large mutt then licked the top of the newborn pup's head. Yipping, the puppy blindly whacked Duke in the nose.
"Aww..." the others cried out in unison.
