Day before the mini concert. All is set! We're giving all performers today to rest. Then we're gonna have an early blocking tomorrow. It's pretty safe to say that it's a success if we're going to look into ticket sales. Sold out!
Kakabalik namin sa VE ni Ate Pauleen from the venue. She opens a bottle of wine.
"Hindi ko yata nakikita si Jane?" asked Ate. "Nag-away na naman kayo?"
"No. It's just me being mature. She said uuwi muna siya e."
"Oh? That's new." Sarcasm at its finest! "And you let her huh? You two had talked about your stupidity na with Gigi?"
I lazily nod. "I almost want to die that night. Pinapainom pa niya ako ng gin paggising ko. When hindi ko tinanggap she drunk each shot! Like gusto ko siyang pigilan but I fear baka masampal niya ako."
"And you gonna end up like Blaire and that woman. Haha!" Inabutan niya ako ng wine. "Here. Andres Malambing."
God! That term! 'Yon ang ginagamit ni Mom kapag sinusuyo siya ni Dad. Specially when he messes up with something.
"God! Stop it! Hindi ako Andres!" Inis kong ininom ang wine. "Besides, I love her that much kaya sinusunod ko."
Gigi comes in with a box of doughnuts. "Hoy, Regi. Pinapabigay ng girlfriend mo. Inutusan pa ako. Bakit ba utosera 'yon. Pinadaan pa kay Lexi. De susunod ako."
"You two had it last time. You better make it up to Jane and Lexi. Ikaw, Gigi. Isinuka mo na ba pati lamang-loob mo? Kahiya-hiya ka."
Nilapag ni Gigi sa tapat ko ang box. "May note diyan. Hindi ko binasa pero sabi niya 'Bukas na daw kayo magkita ni Jane. Kung hindi ka naman daw busy pwede kang pumasyal sa kanila.'"
The hell? Hindi pa daw niya binasa ha? Pagkatingin ko sa note, it's the exact words she said.
"Inggit ka? Magpagawa ka rin ng notes kay Lexi. But I doubt kung igagawan ka niya. Huwag kang hihingi dito."
She lazily sits on the other sofa. "Bukas na 'yong concert. Kinakabahan ko. it's not like hindi ko kaya ha. Pero for sure maraming girls bukas. As in pretty girls sa audience! Gosh! Temptation!"
For someone na nagsabing may nagugustuhan, siya lang ang vocal na parang gusto pang makipag-flirt. Whatever, Gigi!
I took a snap of the doughnuts and posted it-tagging my Lady Love.
"Thank you! I love you so much, Hon!"
Halos sabay pang nag-yuck sina Ate at Gigi! Nakatutok pala sila sa phones nila. It's like they're waiting sa ipo-post ko.
"What's yuck with that ba? Like, isn't it normal to say I love you sa girlfriend?" I innocently asked. But I know naman it's not the usual me. Well, atleast for the past couple of years. "You guys will surely be like this din."
"Not gonna happen." Sagot ni Ate.
"Ekis." Gigi even crosses her arms in mid-air.
Jane just sent me a message. Huh? Okay then. Just a few minutes passed,Lexi comes in. "Ma'am Regina, Aalis na po ako."
Oo nga pala. She asked for a half-day sched today.
"Nasa parking na po si Brian e."
"Wait, what?. Brian? Why you with him" Gigi really has the kapal ng mukha to ask pa.
"E dadaanan namin si Jane kasi pupunta kami sa sementeryo. Bakit ba tanong ka nang tanong? At hindi naman kita nanay para magpaalam pa ako sa'yo."
Gigi looks at me. "You knew about this?"
