When Lily finally gets back to the house, she notices Ash pacing up and down the stairs and says, "Despair is not for you, Ash."
But Ash doesn't stop croaking , and Lily raises an eyebrow and asks, "Or has that fateful day come when you get beaten by Night?"
But Ash's croaking becomes more and more tireless and Lily takes the crow in her arms, until suddenly Ash snaps at Lily with his beak and Lily stops on the stairs and says with a roll of her eyes, "So what do you have to say?"
Ash is silent for a moment and then points his beak towards the upstairs and croaks.
Lily looks up and mutters, "Only one way to find out." and looks at Ash and says, " My shoulder. Now"
Ash croaks happily and they continue their journey up the stairs until Lily starts to speak, "Snake showed me something you're probably aware of too. Traces of some kind of special gunpowder were found near the eastern gates. Which can only mean one thing – our attacker..."
Ash cracks again and Lily looks ahead and says, "Kro."
"Lily," Kro replies as he walks away from the wall.
Lily looks at Ash and grits her teeth, "You did this on purpose, right?"
Ash looks at Kro and Kro gives Ash a look, causing Ash to fly out the window, leaving Lily and Kro standing together in the dilapidated house as Lily continues to herself, "The question is who would be trustworthy enough to know where Than's gunpowder is."
"Actually..." Kro tries to interject.
"What are you doing here?" Lily asks, hands pressed to her sides.
"If you take into account that Than trusts almost no one, it can also come down to pure..." Kro continues, licking his lips.
"Yeah, because Hunter Than just walks around sharing his knowledge like the goddamn Socrates of his time." Lily replies drawing circles with her hand.
Kro walks a few more steps and watches Lily start to walk thoughtfully from one side of the room to the other and says, "Or, it could be someone who can read people clearly."
"And who would benefit entirely from Wendel's takeover?" mutters Lily, standing under the window.
"Every single one of them. Apart from the new arrivals." Kro answers walking closer to Lily.
"What kind of weapons could be used to destroy the East Gate? It's practically indestructible," mutters Lily to herself, looking down from the window ledge.
"Are you going to fall out of the window again?" Kro mutters to himself and walks closer to Lily, catching Lily's attention and causing her to say, "Kro, what are you doing?"
At first Kro stands still and watches Lily pacing back and forth on the window ledge until Kro suddenly grabs her arm and pulls her back to the wall.
But the force with which he grabs Lily turns out to be greater than expected, and Lily stares at Kro, who is holding the girl's hands and stroking them tightly.
