Lily sits down quietly on the edge of the bed and clutches her stomach as Kro runs up to her and kneels in front of her, asking: "My Queen.."
Lily glances at Kro and bosses: "I'm not feeling very well.."
Kro gently presses a hand to Lily's stomach and Lily cries out in pain and she says: "I guess we.."
Lily nods her head and says: "I'm going to go and...", but Kro gently pushes her back in the chair and says: "You're not going anywhere!"
Lily nods curtly, and Kro strides briskly to the nearest servant, and in just a few minutes he pulls Lily to his chest and says: "The car is ready. We can be on our way in a moment."
Lily nods quietly and pulls herself up into a curl in the car seat opposite Kro, her own legs squeezed tightly together as she tries to dull the pain.
Kro looks up at her, stroking the girl's face painfully. He, too, has tightened his knuckles into a strong protective grip around the girl as she trembles with fear and anxiety.
"I'll be damned..." Lily swears over Kro's chest.
Kro glares at Lily and bosses: "A little more, mi reina."
Lily bites her lips and pouts: "Mia regina.."
Kro grins and whispers, "I'm not Italian, mystery."
Lily grins painfully and mutters: "I don't look Hispanic either!"
Kro grins and says: "No matter what nationality you are... I'd choose yours anyway.." and as he says this, he feels a new, stronger pain shoot through his body.
Lily's fingernails dig deeper into Kro's shirt as he suddenly bangs softly: "They won't survive..."
Kro turns anxiously to Lily and pulls her tighter against him with his hand and says: "We don't know that."
Lily sighs and casts a pained glance towards her stomach as Kro suddenly turns Lily's head towards him and says: "I know you're in pain, Lily. But I also know how brave you are." And patting her stomach softly, he says: "And I know... that you would give anything to survive. No matter who they become. You will be their protector, their mother, my queen."
Lily looks at Kro's eyes filled with tears as Kro quietly kisses the girl's eyes and says: "I can see that you're afraid of what's waiting for you out there somewhere far ahead, but... If you're the least bit afraid, take my hand and I'll walk out there with you."
Lily nods quietly and lets Kro pull her close to him, until the moment Kro lifts Lily up to his chest and walks with her to the bed.
The car ride passes in an uneasy atmosphere between Kro's screams and Italian swearing as Kro spasmodically tries to put his arm around Lily.
