Chapter 5 (Shark Tooth Island)

Killua's POV*

"Welcome last 35 people! Ill make taking you to the last stage! My name is Lippo and ill be your examiner."

This is it. One more stage to go through. I wouldn't say the exam was easy. I'm so exhausted I could pass out right now.

"The last stage will take place on shark tooth island. It's a remote island that is known to be very dangerous and is cut off from the public. There you will have to survive for 14 days. Along with horrible creatures ill be letting lose 3 pro hunters after the first 7 days to chase you guys down. You can go alone or team up with others. There is no rules other then survive, do what you need to do."

"Do you guys want to team up? I think it would be stupid running around alone mostly if there's pro hunters coming after us."

"Absolutely." They all said.

"Alright now we are going to head to the island, The boat is over there. Follow me."

We all followed behind him and got on the boat.

"Alright, it will be a few hours until we get there. Do whatever just please don't touch the water, they don't call it shark tooth island for nothing." The examiner laughed.

Once the boat started to move we all got together, "So we will be on the island for a couple weeks, we should probably figure out everyone's strengths and weakness." Gon pointed out.

"I agree, I think that would be smart to know." Leorio buts in.

"Okay well I have a good sense of smell and good ears, I'm not super stealthy." Gon said.

"I'm really good with medicine, I'm not really a fighter." Leorio shrugs.

"I'm good with a blade and stealthy, but I'm not the best at reading peoples next move." Kurapika sighs.

"I'm accurate and stealthy, I built up resistants to a lot of things, I'm fast and strong, Though, I have a bad temper so I go to far sometimes..." I say sheepishly rubbing the back of my head.

I can't help it. I have a instinct that my family drilled into me. I wish I had more control and I'm working on it.

"Okay now at least we can come up with good plans to keep us alive. Leorio I do think you should have some kind of weapon though just in case." I pull a switch blade from my pocket and had it to Leorio. He looked at not like he's never seen one before.

"Do you know how to use it?" I chuckle.

"Somewhat..." He said before putting it in his pocket.

Gons POV*

After that I walked over to the bathroom and threw water in my face. I'm super nervous. We will have to make it out alive. I knew the hunter exam was hard I just didn't think it would be life or death. Aunt Mito wouldn't have let me leave if she new that it was possible. I probably wont tell her about it, you know if I live. I don't have any doubts, the pro hunters are going to be tough though. I shook my head getting out of my thoughts and walked back out and leaned against a wall. Then someone walked up to me and put their hand on m shoulder. I looked up and made eye contact with two blue orbs.

"You okay Gon? You seem out of it." Killuas face had worry.

"Mmm." I nod.

"Hey don't worry, you got us. And I'm an ex assassin I have some skills." He smiled at me.

"Okay. I just want to make it home to aunt Mito." I sigh.

"I promise Ill protect you." Killua laughs patting my head.
