. . . Kurapika's POV*
For our one year anniversary, though it's been about a month since, Leorio booked us a ticket to a island. This island was known to be paradise. It's exclusive only to people that own hunters license. We were currently on the blimp in a room. The flight was 18 hours long. I was super excited I barely could sleep.
"Come and sleep babe you need to rest." Leorio called me over to the bed. I set my book down.
"I can't! I'm too excited!" I giggled jumping up and down making Leorio smile at me.
"I get it I'm excited too."
**After the blimp ride**
We landed on the island. The sun was shining brightly, the warm breeze brushing through my blonde hair. The ocean waved crashing onto the sand. Leorio puts his hand in mine leading me the resort. We got our room key, there was only one floor of the resort. We were in room 3.
"This is it." Leorio said unlocking the door.
I step inside in awe. It was stunning, I've never seen a room as beautiful as this one. There was a patio that leads to the beach, A fire place with seats sitting outside.

"Holy shit." I laughed, walking in and sitting on the bed.
"What?" Leorio smiled.
"It's beautiful." I hummed.
"Your beautiful.." He said walking over to me, propping himself between my legs where I sat.
"That was cheesy." I giggled.
"It worked didn't it?" He smirked at me. I wrap my arms around his neck bringing him down to me so our noses touch.
"Of course." . . . Leorio's POV*
It's been a few days at the resort. We've had amazing food, spent time by the fire at night, everything was relaxing and amazing. I couldn't ask for a better vacation.
"Wanna go for a walk?" I suggested. I have a surprise for him.
"Like on the beach?"
"Yeah why not? The sunset will be beautiful."
Kurapika smiled at me. Oh how I love that smile. I smiled back at him grabbing his hand.
"Sure." He said.
We walked off the back patio onto the beach. The sun started to set as we walked. The sand between our toes. The breeze was still warm.
"Leorio? What is that?" Kurapika asked pointing to something in the distance.
"Dinner." I smirked leading him to the table I had planned for us.

"You are such a hopeless romantic are you?" He giggled kissing my cheek.
"I try." I shrug, "Come on."
I pull his chair out for him to sit down. I got wine and a lot of good food. Pasta, shrimp and some other varies foods. Even some chocolates.
"This looks amazing." He said.
We started eating the delicious dinner. The sunset was beautiful, the ocean was beautiful, Kurapika was beautiful...
Once we finished we got up from the table. The candles still lit around us. I stop him in his tracks. Holding both of his hands in mine.
"Kurapika, I'm so happy I met you, I don't know where I would be at today. I love everything about you. Your hair, your eyes, your jokes, your laugh. Being around you is my happiness. Everything about you lights up my world, my sunshine. I love you so much, I want to be with you forever..."
"Leorio?" He blushes.
I get down on one knee, pulling out the ring box I've had for a month opening it. He gasps.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Kurapika Kurta, will you marry me?"
Tears fell from his scarlet eyes. He smiled, hands shaking in mine.
"Yes! A million times yes!" He threw himself into me. I held him tightly. My heart racing.
I grabbed his hand and put the engagement ring on his finger, he looked at it in awe.

"I love you Leorio..." Kurapika sobbed happily.
"I love you to sunshine."
I laced my fingers into his and led in back to our room. I ordered room service of us. More wine and some small cakes to eat together.
"So...about the last name. I want to take yours." I tell him, he looked at me confused.
"Why?"
"Because, I don't want your clans name disappearing."
His eyes were full of joy, "Thank you. Really."
I give him a big hug before pouring him a glass of red wine he likes so much.
