Kurt
"Hey, salty face. Why are you so salty Kurt?" Courtney asked, poking me in the side as we sat down on a bench with me playing with Frances.
"It's Ashlyn. I'm just worried" I said with a sigh as I kissed Frances's forehead.
"Is this about Izzy?" Courtney asked. I nodded. "You know you're being paranoid. I remember how you were when I was hanging out with Billy"
"And look where you are now. You're dating aren't you?" I asked which made Court chuckle. "See?"
"Okay I walked right into that one. But Izzy's like her brother. Are you afraid he's gonna steal her from you or something?" I was quiet. "Kurt?"
"Um... actually no. Of course not" I said. Courtney gave me a look of disbelief. "I'm serious"
"You forget we dated. I know you Kurt." I sighed. True. But I still believe she didn't all that well.
"True. But I'm being honest. I have no concerns about Ash falling for him. And I know Izzy's not gonna fall in love with her" I said.
I believe.
"Okay, so what?"
"I don't know. I just don't like seeing him around her, talking to her, touching her and hanging out with her. I always get a bad feeling whenever that happens" I confessed. Courtney looked at me intently.
"You know what, how about we trail them to the diner and crash their little dinner. The more the merrier right?" Courtney offered with an evil gleam.
I knew there was a reason I used to love this woman.
Keywords 'used to', Ashlyn has my heart now.
But still, Courtney's a genius.
"Let's crash their fucking dinner" I said. "But I have no idea what diner they went to"
"I think I do. Hell it's the only diner everyone goes to in this bullshit city. Now let's go. Let's go protect your girlfriend! Chop chop" Courtney commanded as I stood up, holding Frances.
I guess it wouldn't hurt.
Izzy
"Oh come on Jeff, you can't really think I prefer Michael to you" Ashlyn asked as we got out of the cab. "Our relationships are different, you can't compare"
"Who do you see as more of a brother?" I asked as I helped her out of the cab. She was silent for a minute but then she spoke out.
"Michael" She said. "Please don't make this weird Jeff. It's Michael because we've been through a lot together. You know I still love you" She said.
I know she did. It just bothered me a bit but I guess it was alright.
"I know and I love you too" I said, kissing her forehead. "Now let's get inside and get something to eat, okay?" She offered. I smiled as we walked into the diner. Luckily it wasn't too crowded so we didn't get hassled by fans.
"You were amazing tonight. You know you've really got all the talent to go solo. I would gladly support. And hell, maybe we could write music together someday" Her eyes lit up.
