Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit.

I quickly got of Chris's lap as I kept my eyes locked in on Eddie. He gave me a look of disappointment which made me sigh deeply.

"You, me, there, now" Eddie said in a brash tone, pointing at me then at the kitchen. I nodded, and tried to stand up but was held back down by Chris.

"No man. Don't drag her into anything" Chris warned. But Eddie's glare didn't waver.

"I don't have anything to say to you. I just wanna talk to her" He said once again.

"Chris, let me go." I asked. Chris looked hesitant but ultimately obliged, looking worried as I walked over the kitchen, and out of the hearing distance of Chris.

Once we were alone, Eddie's glare dropped and instead he gave me a look of... pity.

"How are you holding up?" He asked. I sighed. I guessed he was referring to the rape. I knew I should've been angry at the fact that Chris told him without my permission, but at that point I didn't care anymore. "I'm guessing not very well"

"I'm trying my best" I said, giving him a tight smile.

"Sorry about that." He sympathized. "I know we're not the closest, or even friends, but Izzy needs to be put behind bars for this."

"Yeah" I trailed off, casting my gaze at the floor.

"Okay listen..." Eddie said, placing his hand on my chin slightly. That singular action caused me to jump and flinch away from him. "...I'm sorry. So sorry"

"What do you want Eddie?" I asked, in a shaky voice, taking some steps back.

"I'm not here to hurt you. I just wanna... Ash, what are you doing with Chris?"

"I... we're friends" I said, rubbing the back of my neck. "The make out meant nothing. I just... needed it at that moment"

"I hope he's not forcing you to do anything." Eddie asked with a frown.

"No. He's been a complete gentleman. He's just been helping me defend myself. Nothing more, nothing less"

"I believe you" Eddie said, after scanning my face a bit. "But what happened with Kurt?"

I shifted my gaze and to the floor, so that I could mask my sadness.

"He... he ended things with me." I informed, trying to get a grip on myself as I slowly looked back up at Eddie. "Did Kurt send you here?"

"I'll answer that in a bit" Eddie replied. "Just talk to me, okay?"

I took in a deep breath and narrated everything from start to finish. I emphasized how Chris had made me feel safe by teaching me how to defend myself and how the guys had overreacted.

"I see. You know they've got every reason to be cautious though." Eddie said. "You and Chris don't have the best history"

"I know. And quite frankly, I'm still on edge with him. But, he has changed to his credit. Chris had every opportunity to take advantage of me, yet he refused to" I reasoned. Eddie seemed to be in deep thought but nodded in agreement.
