ooi. a kiss for every scar
9.01
( tw | death )Atlas sits beside Derek in one of the many hospital on call rooms. The blankets are scattered on the floor, and the only thing that covers the two is a thin sheet that Atlas knows had covered others. "My love," Atlas speaks lowly, his words smooth as he shifts and leans forward to place his lips against Dereks.
Derek smiles against the kiss, his hand moving and landing on the scar near Atlas chest. It's the bullet wound from Gary Clark, the man that had shot up the hospital. He runs the pad of his thumb across the bumpy patch of skin; he loves the fact that Atlas has embraced his scars and learnt to love them. "Baby."
It's when Atlas pulls away, grasping Dereks scarred hand and brings it to his lips. He kisses the scar in the palm of his hand, then places many little bitty kisses to the other scars that are scattered across his hand and arm. Then he shifts, placing a few kisses to the fading scar that runs up and down his chest. "I love you, so, so much. And all your big and little scars."
Derek returns the favour. He places kiss after kiss on the many scars that are scattered across his husbands body. He places a kiss to the two bullet wounds that had faded but are still visible to those who look. His lips move against Atlas's skin smoothly, placing a kiss to any scar he can see in the window lit room. "I love you too, so, so much."
There's a knock at the door. Atlas is the first to look towards the ugly coloured thing of wood that someone is standing in the outside of. "Atly?" It's Oliver, who's probably holding some file full of things he would need looked at.
Atlas grabs the sheet, pulling it off the bed and wrapping it around his body, leaving Derek naked. He walks towards the door, unlocking it and opening it the smallest bit. "Yeah, Olly?"
"I have a case for Derek, Callie wants to meet with him. Well she actually wanted me to get her a coffee and then she wanted me to find Derek, but I thought he might want a coffee...?" Oliver rambles, yet he's smiling. Atlas notices the scar that run along his jaw, its sharp but the white line is vibrant and fresh. "Does he, can he come? Call might yell if I don't bring him back."
"He's getting dressed." Atlas says as he glances over his shoulder to see Derek picking up his scrubs and hurriedly putting them on. Once he's dressed and standing by the door, Atlas places a kiss to his cheeks before he goes back to the bed.
Derek goes with Oliver to get Callie a coffee. The two walk in silence, it's not because theres something awkward, but because neither know what to talk about. Once Oliver has Callies coffee in hand, the two head back to one of the viewing rooms where Callie is waiting.
