I was honestly just absentmindedly scrolling through my camera roll for bases and pose references, when I stumbled across one that I used to make my drawing titled "What The Future Holds" with Shizuku. This of course, led me to thinking if I could repurpose it with my girl Maiyu, since their outfits are somewhat similar. After some trial and error with the hair and shoes, I was proven right!
For some reason I keep forgetting her sword colors so pardon any errors please and thank you XD
Fun fact: I completely forgot that I designed her sheath and was about to design a completely new one, and I also almost forgot her hairpieces—good thing my little memory lapse didn't last that long! (Also how ironic is that, when Maiyu has a photographic memory-)
And now for everyone's favorite segment, the fun fact/taisho secret!
Due to her sword's shape, her sheath was actually specially designed—it's wider than a normal katana sheath and it has special grooves on both sides of the the inside to account for the double-edged blade and prevent too much wear and tear. If you look closely, her blade matches her hair color :)
