Did you miss me? Did you miss your favorite ice princess? Who knows, but we're back anyways!
Her sword design is one of my favorites—it's been through its own fair share of updates as I continued to work with her character, but I'm proud of this (especially given how long it took to draw XD).
I don't know why her first form is my favorite. Maybe it's because it's the one I remember, or maybe it's because it was the easiest for me to come up with back in the days I was first designing her. I honestly didn't realize until later that the pose kinda reminded me of that, and then I went from there XD
The art process was pretty okay for the most part! The things I really struggled with was the sword because I can't draw a straight line to save my life, as well as her hair for some odd reason. I did have a lot of fun with the clothes though—call it the dancer in me but I'm a sucker for a skirt that twirls. Since her haori is cropped I get to draw it in all its glory :D
Now, gather round my lovelies, for it's time for the taisho secret!
When she trains, she will often use her fan to accent her sword strikes and help guide her movements—watching her is like watching an elegant dance~ (while she doesn't usually prefer to train in front of spectators, if she's very focused she doesn't notice enough to mind)
