So this all started when me and avaaviesflowergirl were having one of our lovely comment section conversations. We ended up discovering that as it so happens, both of these two share a similar trait of being "generally sweet until they reach their breaking point, then they're heckin terrifying." As it also so happens, my boy Ren uses flower breathing, and her girl Sakura uses cherry blossom breathing.
Have they ever interacted with each other? No, but that's a minor detail XD (although now I am curious...)
Of course, I'll always jump at the chance to draw Sakura. It took me a good few tries to get her pose just the way I wanted, and I tried out a few beforehand before deciding on this one. I also had to try out a few facial expressions and ways of doing her hair, but I love her so much that it didn't deter me! In fact, I think I'm pretty proud of the final product, and I do hope that I did her justice ^-^
Fun fact, it's actually my first time drawing her new haori design. I think it's really pretty :)
(I tried to sort of replicate the way you drew it since you know your girl best, while also staying consistent with my own style. Hopefully I found a happy medium >_<)
Now if you thought that I was able to draw Ren in one try and be done with it because "he's my character" and "I draw him a lot," I'm sorry to crush the hopes you probably didn't have in the first place, because he was also a trial and error process. I had a pose for him in mind, the hair was surprisingly not too much of a struggle, but MY GOD THE FACIAL EXPRESSION TOOK AGES.
This might just be because I'm a perfectionist, but well, I wanted it to be perfect XD
Well, despite my struggles, and the fact that my soul has currently left my body, this was still a lot of fun to do and imagine and all that cool stuff. One thing's for certain, a couple of upper ranked demons should probably sleep with one eye open-
