I tried my best
Would you believe me if I said I actually didn't struggle with the hair all that much? I mean yeah it's a flat color piece, because I have yet to figure out how to shade ombré hair (I'll get there, eventually), but it wasn't nearly as much of a struggle as my Rue drawing.
You know it was originally going to be a bust-up piece, but then I bit the bullet and drew more of her. I'm really glad I did, because I think it came out pretty good :)
Taisho era secret time!
Hanayo's actually not that good at doing hair—she learned how to do her trademark braid crown from a LOT of trial and error, but it actually works to keep her hair out of her face when she fights (another fun taisho secret: it's longer when it's completely down :>)
