Hello hello again, I've returned with another drawing! This time featuring the magical siblings, Nagisa and Shouko, as well as the reveal of Nagisa's late friend, Takehiro :D
While the two now share a pretty close bond for the most part, Nagisa wasn't exactly thrilled at first to have a nervous little girl with abandonment issues clinging to his side (especially when his parents were useless after the fact-). I thought that this was very similar to Shinobu and Kanao's original dynamic, so this scene just seemed all too fitting!
Plus, I just feel like Takehiro would be the Kanae in this situation and just be trying his best to calm down his friend, at the same time trying to spare Shouko's feelings because she can hear all this happening.
Also, surprise!—Shouko used to have long hair! I'm really proud of how her ponytails came out I think they're really cute, even if they did take some trial and error at first.
In fact, Takehiro's hair was the easiest, and it was my first time designing him much less drawing him. Ironic, isn't it? I was originally going to give him short hair, but then thought it would add a touch of wholesome/sad to give him the ponytail with the purple band, since I can now say that Nagisa grew out his hair and wears it like that to honor him.
Can that be a taisho secret? It can now!
Now we don't have to talk about how long it took me to pick the clothing colors or how bad I am at hands, so I instead I can talk about how fun it is to insert my characters in scenes from the anime—I did this one time as a sort of joke way back when, and I haven't looked back since.
I'm not the first to do that and I probably won't be the last XD
