Ren in a haori?? Bet you never thought you'd see the day!
Anyways, I took a small break from the angst to draw my boy as a Hashira (because my lovely friendo avaaviesflowergirl has inspired me with her interpretations of her characters as Hashira, hi Ava thank you for that hehehehe). If you're wondering if that haori looks familiar, I'm here to tell you that yes, that is in fact the haori of the man the myth the legend Ryuji Hanabusa
Little fun fact, the reason why he waits to wear the haori is because he wants to save it for when he sees himself as worthy of filling his father's shoes, ie by beating upper 6 and becoming a Hashira. The braids in his hair are also worn as a tribute, and I can see his hair growing longer at this point too (totally not because this was the best I could draw it)
Anyways, I did the same drawing process I did for my tsubaki drawing, with a sketch and clean line layer. Let me tell you, that facial expression took ages, especially the eye shape. I wanted him to look serious but not to the point where he looked mad and that was surprisingly difficult. I think I managed to pull something off though XD
Now let's just hope he doesn't suffer the fate of the flower Hashiras before him-
