Hello again my lovelies!
You know that moment when you're listening to a song and you just have the perfect idea because it fits your character so well it hurts? I know I do, and since I can't make the full blown animatic with Kanon singing of unrequited love in my head, here's the next best thing :)
First let's just get one thing out of the way: yes, I used a base—I didn't want to rage quit over the hand because I really did like this idea. I'll put it in the chapter for the curious :D
And now that that's out of the way, it's time for Melody Rambling!
I haven't actually drawn Kanon in a while, so it took a few tries to get back into the swing of things (specifically with her hair). I wanted it to be blowing in the wind without looking too chaotic—I think I managed to pull something off though!
Also, her eyes were giving me a lot of trouble for some reason, since I wanted them to be wider and ~filled with emotion~ but I kept making the irises too big or looking in the wrong direction. Turns out all I had to do was change the eye shape- the joys of troubleshooting am I right?
Now you don't have to listen to the song above if you don't want to, but I will say I personally recommend it because a) it provides context and b) it's really good. (Also, I'm not the best at verbally explaining this idea XD). Did I listen to it on repeat in the process of making this? Don't worry about it! :D
Well, I hope I didn't crush anyone's hearts too much with this. If I did...well heck I don't know, does a drawing request count as emotional compensation? I already offer those anyways XD
I'll have some less hard hitting stuff for the next chapter to make up for it, how does that sound? ^-^
