Hello hello again! Back at it with the ship pieces two days in a row? Who the heck am I?
I tried that thing where I put characters in a scene in the anime, because why not? And of course, I had to use my favorite-ever tankana scene. This features both my newest bean Miyuki and avaaviesflowergirl's newest bean Yakeru! That's right, we're once again making a ship with our characters, and I'm once again drawing it :)
So, I had some practice drawing hairstyles like Yakeru's because of the times I've drawn Nagisa, but it did still take some tries to get it right. It was a bit of a challenge to take on having the first time I drew a character be a side view, but what's art without a challenge? Once I got through the hurdle of getting his head to make sense, the rest of it was actually pretty smooth sailing!
Now at this point you might be wondering why the scene is inverted. Well, you can thank Miyuki's ponytail for that, I wanted to make sure it was on the right side. It very well may not be cause I suck at direction, but what we don't know won't hurt us. For her it was also mostly smooth save for trying to get her face shape right and making the mouth not look stupid. However, I've yet to have a drawing where there wasn't anything that tripped me up XD
Well, in honor of Miyuki's first appearance in my art book, here's a taisho secret!
While she gets flustered in the beginning, she eventually comes to use hand holding as her main form of showing affection—both platonic and romantic! ^-^
Personally I'm excited to see their dynamic play out and how their relationship blossoms~
