I'm a woman of my word!! I'm not sure who saw the randomness book chapter where I listed the characters I'd be doing, or who had any guesses, but surely you can guess from the title—I present Everyone's Favorite Ice Princess as Poseidon, god of the sea!
As for why I chose her to portray Poseidon, especially given that I have some other characters who I was debating, I had a couple of reasons. Jorge's depiction of him is someone who believes that "ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves" (quotes veryyy frequently), which I believe really suits how she puts up a cold front mostly to protect herself. Second of all, both of them are prone to letting their pride getting the better of them, especially in battle.
And as for the design, I wanted to fit her "princess" theme (hence the crown) while also incorporating ocean/sea stuff. I took inspiration from WolfyTheWitch (go check out their stuff on YouTube)'s design in the Ocean Saga trailer with the top, and the flowing skirt was kind of meant to mimic flowing water—it gets darker at the bottom just like how the ocean has less light at deeper levels. I also added gold for the arm cuffs, sandals, and trident as a contrast :)
Finally, I added blue makeup to her face and made her nails long and sharp to really complete the look :3
I'm really excited to continue going down my list, but first my sister's making me draw actual-Greek-myth Poseidon so there might be a bit of a delay XD
