Hello again!
So...I hope you guys aren't getting too sick of this series at this point- I have to finish what I start, but rest assured that we only have a few more left and then we'll be done! Or if I'm just doing my classic Melody Move of overthinking, then kindly discard this and enjoy the ride XD
Here I have everyone's favorite ballerina Sara as Penelope, the queen of Ithaca!
I actually assigned this to her relatively last minute, specifically when I was on my way to school listening to none other than the EPIC soundtrack (of course). Not only does she also use a flower-based breathing style, but she's kind and caring, and she's deeply loyal to those she loves. I also thought that the trick of unraveling the mourning shroud every night to keep the suitors off her back points to how she's strong and capable underneath her looks, and she can hold her own. I thought this pointed well to how despite losing her mom, she doesn't let the grief consume her, but rather lets it fuel her into her ultimate goals.
Can you tell that Penelope is one of my favorite characters?
I actually came up with her design idea while I was absentmindedly doodling, though the top of her outfit took a lot of trial and error when it came time to turn it into a full fledged drawing. I went with a pink dress to point to her original design, and used plenty of gold accessories cause she's a queen, she can probably afford them XD
However, compared to her hair, the dress was a piece of cake- her style is relatively easy from the front, but the side view was a battle in and of itself. Even now I'm not sure if I got it right, but I've accepted that this is the best it's gonna get. It provided a worthy challenge, so perhaps the next one will be better!
We're almost there guys!! There might be a small delay since I have a busy week ahead (I have a philosophy exam and work •~•) but it shouldn't be long now before I get the rest published!
