Hii!!

I'm back once again! Did you miss me? Who heckin knows, but I'm back anyways! I figured that given the delay, I'd do two chapters to make up for it—this was already colored before, it just needed some shading. This time, I have featured here my girl Amaya as Zeus, god of thunder and king of Olympus!

For her, it was a tie between Zeus and Poseidon as for which one I wanted to go with, and given that Poseidon was already chosen, I went with Zeus! While she thankfully doesn't share his...shall we say more unsavory habits...she too can be prideful when she fights, and she too has a strong sense of justice. They also both have very strong emotions, so I thought this fit!

That, and of course, she uses storm breathing, and thunder breathing is a subsect of that. I couldn't not do this.

Now, the artistic process was quite the adventure with this one. I haven't really drawn Amaya a lot (I should more-), so there was some trial and error with things like her hair and eye shape, as well as getting the facial expression to have ~king of the gods~ energy. I used a base to get the pose and also have a framework for the throne (which was also a lot of trial and error •-•), so I don't even wanna know how long this would've taken without one XD

I showed this to my sister and artist friend as a trial run, and neither of them guessed that it was supposed to be Zeus because Amaya is very much a woman, however they both guessed Hera. I find that funny for some reason XD

so for the dress, I actually decided to do a one-shoulder kind of thing, and have it a dark stormy grey color that almost matches her eyes. The gold accents were of course customary at this point, and I like the way they contrast the rest of her color palette. Shading the skirt (and hair-) did take some time to make it not look splotchy, but I fixed that with some trial and error and a hefty dose of "melody you can't rage quit now you only have a couple more left" to get me through it :D

Overall though, I like how this came out. I think I was able to capture the energy of both characters, especially with that facial expression that took me too many times to count. I put Zeus's song above for curious listeners, along with the base I used to make this happen. I hope you guys enjoyed this!!

I'm gonna try to get the last one in by this weekend, and then this series will be finished!! I already have some stuff planned for the honorable mentions, as well as some normally-scheduled character art in my drafts. Thanks so much for sticking around, it means the world!! <3

See ya!
